It's amazing what a timeout can do.

Kings played waaaaaay better in the 2nd after the timeout.

Even the crowd cheered when the to was taken. I don't know why the head coach was the only one that didn't see it in the last game.

It's amazing what can happen when you don't willfully watch your young team implode.

What goods a stud goalie like Bernier if you don't use him?

Quick sucked in Hockey East I was never that impressed with him at UMass. Its kind of ridiculous how many goals he has been allowed to give up last two games. I was really looking forward to G6 and using my sweet seats in 217 row 4 now I can't go even if there is one as I needed to know at least by tonight if there would be another home game guaranteed this year .

None of the Sharks goals were scored back to back, yet a timeout changed the course of the game.

Could be a coincidence, but positive **** does happen if you change your methods.
This. Thank you. Noticed the same thing.

Nope. It would have been 5-0 by then.

If he called one in game 3, the Kings probably have a one goal lead heading to the locker room. Much better than being tied.

It really doesn't. If you disagree, I will find you couple of examples from this season when Murray DID take a timeout and it didn't help at all. Still I wouldn't use those examples to "prove" my point.

Good one!
Most are saying it was worth a try. You are saying that it never matters. Big difference.

A timeout in game 3 would probably not have saved it, but it was worth a shot. Nothing to lose.

No Timeout. Final score 6-5. Loss.

Timeout. Final score 6-3. Loss.

Results from experiment?

Players who don't listen to coaches and play the system = losses.

Context?

It was 3-0 when the timeout was called. Period ended 3-2. Kings had a PP to tie the game up and he never used his best line. Murray can not or just does not adapt.

If a timeout is called at 5-4 in game 3, period ends 5-4. Scoreless 3rd period = Kings win 5-4.

That was the biggest ovation of the night.

I didn't cheer when he took the timeout, although I felt it was appropriate to take the timeout.

I didn't cheer because it made me feel like the Kings coach goes into games in total seat-of-the-pants mode. Almost like he took the timeout because he got so much **** for NOT taking one in Game 3. It DID settle the team down, and I'm left to forever wonder - could it have prevented just one SJ goal in game 3's regulation? Enough to possibly win the game? We will never know.

Anyway, not saying that's what he did....just saying that's how I felt.
