I would be tempted to put this guy back in the lineup for next game. He BLEW ME AWAY in game two. He hit, he was rarely caught out of position and he scored a HUGE goal for us and deserves another shot......And with him in the lineup, PK can carry the puck deeper in the zone (to create scoring chances) and weber is there to play D and cover for him. Why not ? PK needs to run ! He sees the ice like only the greats do and have in the past....And IMO webber can help the team plus add some support to PK.

Subban needs to sit his ass behind the blue line, you know, like a defenseman should. Oh and learn when to pinch and when not to, because he still doesn't get it.
On Weber (1 B), I wouldn't take out any forward out of the lineup for him and defense, I'd try Mara instead of Spacek.
I actually can't decide who would be better between Spacek, Weber and Mara
Spacek has sucked the last two games, but when he's on he helps our transition game a lot
Mara will get those a-holes out of our crease and take no prisoners, but he might not have the stickwork that has been the key to success (getting in passing lanes, blocking shots, stick checking, etc.)
Weber played terrific in game 2 in his role as FWD (not defence) and we badly need him on the PP, but we're not taking any forwards out at this point since we're already missing Benny from the lineup. On defence, hard to say if he'd be adequate physically. He's come a long way since the last series he was in against the Bruins (scored a goal in that one to), and I'm leaning towards he IS capable if Spacek is. Hard call, but I highly doubt Martin pulls a veteran out for Weber. Weber is for the future (in his mind).
What we need:
Spacek to play mistake free and solid hockey. It's our only hope. He's done it before. All we can do is hope.
At the moment, Weber doesnt have what it takes to play at the level both teams are playing. He's not good enough defensivly to cope with the Bruins mix of skills and size, not at the moment, and perhaps he will never be but he can still improve. I just dont have much confidence in him playing playoff hockey on defence.
Can't really take out Spacek out of the lineup but if we do, spot is Mara's.

LOL, Weber had an excellent game 2 with a GOAL, and he doesn't have it.

Exactly ! And a HUGE goal to boot......It worked out great.......ONE MORE TIME, I thought it was dumb putting him up front but I`m a believer....Put him back in and let PK LOOSE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone remember Team Canada in Junior......I sure as H*** do......I want to see PK play that way AGAIN........OK all you defensive purist,I`m old enough to remember Bobby Orr, and PK looks like him and sees the ice like him. And no he`s not Bobby Orr but he could and WILL be as good if he`s allowed to spread his wings and FLY. weber can cover for him plus add some great hitting up front.
Yes I was surprised to see Weber IN for game 2 but felt good that he was a forward (felt it couldn't hurt and he's very speedy).
Was very happy and surprised when he scored to make it 3-1...huge goal . And also...nice goal (went hard and fast to the net...gotta give Weber credit for that).
BTW, I'm not a Weber basher or hater but I'm always wondering if he can be a solid top 4 or top 6 dman...I htink he can but I still wonder. I know his value is pretty good, that's for sure. And it's good to know he can be used as a speedy 4th liner (defensively responsible).
Tough one for coach Martin...my guess is that he will keep the same lineup.
Mara as 4th liner? (8-10 min. a game)...also could be used as a spare dman rotate with Spacek?

Yeah sure he had a decent game as an energy fourth liner, scored a goal and all. Now, to know if he can log 20 min in a close series as a defenceman, against a good offence... no one really can tell. He certainly never proved anything so far.
