With Handzus as the #1 center?

Richardson's line should easily get 20+ minutes on Saturday, but they won't.

Who knows, maybe Parse could spark some chemistry with Penner. Perhaps Penner just needs another skilled forward to get his game going.

As Hammond says, these lines aren't definite, we don't know who is going to be the 1st center.

Handzus will get the most ice time = #1 center

I don't recall me reading that anywhere. Do you have a source that we don't know about?

Two games to late by Murray. Amazing it takes him this long to realize that Penner and Stoll are absolute trash. I hope TM sends the message even farther and scratches both of them. Look what happened when Stoll didn't stain our lineup in game 2. The problem with even dressing these 2 guys is it gives Terry the chance to use them like he did last night with that PP. How you send out the 2 crappiest uninspired players when you have Richie and Clifford working their butts off.

Let's ice a lineup of guys who actually give a crap.

Go Kings

Pretty soon, Penner is just going to need someone to do his skating, passing, shooting and scoring for him.

We will call it Penner by proxy.

playing a guy who hasn't played all year in potentially the last game of the year strikes me as a panic move in all honesty.

What are the alternatives?

He can't keep playing guys who are hurting the team.

If Parse has a pulse he is an upgrade over #25 and #28 who look like they dont give a crap and can't wait to get home to their model wife and girlfriend.

Pretty bad when your being outplayed by Kevin Westgarth.

The last five forwards are all in green jerseys, so it’s impossible to say how that line might look, but it would appear as though Scott Parse’s return might be on the horizon. More updates to come…

Hammond
Worth a shot.

I'm happiest for Parse... it was looking as though his career might be in jeopardy with this injury of his. Doctors aren't off on their estimates for return by 2+ months. Glad he's ready to give it another go. Hopefully it won't be his swan song.

Having to win 2 of 3 on the road doesn't concern me that much. The Kings have played well on the road. It's that darn game 6. Maybe the ice can melt at Staples so they're forced to play the game in El Segundo.

Playing Parse in Game 5, what exactly could it hurt. If we lose we r done, so why not put in the team you feel best can win. Our best game I mean was without Stoll, so taking him out might not be so bad.

Now for Penner, should he play or not. Really it his his stoopid unnecessary roughing penalty, that changed the whole series around. Being up 4-0 you need to stay away from anything remotely looking like it can be called a penalty, especially with Furlat as the official (who brings bad mojo whenever he is the referee against the Kings.) You are up 4-0 just play the same way. Defensive minded hockey, no need to go crazy offensively as 4 goals is enough. It is that penalty that woke up the Sharks, whom we had on the edge of the cliff ready to topple over. On the ropes. Penner let them off. He should of been benched for game 4, or after his non defensive play in game 1 letting San Jose score 28 seconds in, a game the Kings should of won.

Too little...too late.

Who knows what Parse will bring, he hasn't been in action in a long time. Would rather see Schenn, but I can wait till next year.

Penner a -4? Worse than I thought!

And my boy Westgarth is a +2 and has the same amount of points! Jesus.

What would make you think that TM is capable of making any adjustment?

And Westgarth has easily outplayed Penner in these playoffs. I hate to admit it, because I was not a fan of Westgarth at all this season, but I have been really enjoying what he has done with his limited ice time in the playoffs.

Westgarth was terrible in the playoffs, but he's played well. He's still a liability on defense, but his heart is ten times the size of Penner. He will dive and claw for this time while Penner just goes through the motions.

Westgarth also hasn't taken any stupid penalties like Penner did in Game 3 to turn the momentum.

It's sad when our three fighters/gritty type player of Westgarth, Clifford and Simmonds have all played smart and responsible hockey while people like Penner, Brown and Doughty have all taken stupid, unnecessary penalties.

..dont forget to add Matt "sin bin" Greene to that list.. They should put his face on the bail bonds ad that they have at HP Pavillion.

Silly question I know, partly tongue and cheek, but how is Parse going to help us defensively? Or are we going to start winning those 6-3 and 6-5 games, 7-6?

Not sure who he is replacing to be honest....but I am pretty sure he can't do worse than Penner...
