I realize you were trying to be funny but animal cruelty is not funny. And I don't think that part of your post was necessary. And as a moderator, I expect better from you.
Yeah sorry about that. And that's what happens when my glucose level crashes. Editing now.
Ya know when something really crappy happens one night, and the next morning you wake up and you have that tiny moment right afterwards where you don't really know what's going on...then what happened the night before comes back to you and you're like damn, and just wanna go back to sleep?
Well, this morning is the total opposite of that!!!! I woke up, didn't really know where I was, remembered what happened last night and immediately couldn't go back to sleep and wanted to get online to see what everyone is saying about us and revel in victory, ha!
All Predators Centers are over 50% for faceoffs. Only Pred who's under 50% is Joel Ward and he's a wing and would only be taking the faceoffs when the center is kicked out. (42.9%). Even when the center is kicked out Geoffrion and Spaling are killing it faceoff wise.
Here's my conspiracy theory for game 5... The league told the Ducks to clean up their cheap shots. Other than Perry's early shove on Weber, it seemed the Ducks played a fairly clean game. To me, it was distinctly different from the previous 4 games. Throughout the game I kept thinking is this the same bunch of goons we've played the past week. So what are the chances Campbell's office warned Murray and Carlylse behind closed doors, Clean it up or else????

slim to none
we came out hungry for that win last night. deserved every bit of that W. ducks probably know they cant out muscle us in our own building.
Greetings folks.....long-time Islanders fan here. I've lived in Texas for 7 years and never really got into a Western Conference team as much as I love the NYI, but after watching game 5 last night, I think the Preds are finally my West team. I wish the Isles had that kind of killer defense (though Tavares & Grabner in a top-6 are okay. )
Best of luck in game 6.

Was wearing my Preds jersey when I went to visit my father at his retirement home and a couple of 90 year old ladies stopped me at the door to talk about the game.

Welcome to the roller coaster emotional hell. Here's a brief summary of what you've missed for the last 10 years or so: Legwand sucks, Trotz sucks, Upshall's hair, and "we took some numbers".

....Trust me, I know how it is to be a fan of a team with a 'speckled' history. Isles fan since 93....had to live through trading Luongo for crap, picking DiPietro, signing Yashin to a stupid contract and having an owner who once mentioned he thought sumo-wrestler goalies could revolutionize the game.
Good to see it all come together for the Predators, though. At least the Isles aren't too far behind.
I hope the team realizes that they win when they're aggressive. When they attack Anaheim, the ducks are unable to get their easy shots in front of the net and the preds spend most of the time in the offensive zone.
I was so scared when we went to overtime last night that we were going to lay back and worry about stopping Anaheim rather than attacking. Fortunately, we did attack and we see the result.
