Since 03/04 a member of the Lightning or Redwings has won the Lady Byng. Dont really see that changing this year. Either MSL or Lidstrom should win IMO.
This is the voters way of saying no freaking way St.Louis are you getting a hart nominee even tho you were second in the nhl in points. But oh right hes not a monster performer or Pat Falloon second overall drat pick. Falloon has a better chance at winning the hart
Not to slight Datsyuk in any way, but I think of him as less "gentlemanly" than Lidstrom. I think of just about everyone as less gentlemanly than Lidstrom... he seems to define the word.

lidstrom should have won at least 10 byngs.

No more than they should change the names of the Hart, Art Ross, Norris, Selke, Vezina, etc... If people honestly can't get beyond the name, maybe they should work a little harder graduating beyond junior high.

The only people people who have a problem with it are fans who can't accept its named after a women. The players don't care about that, winning it is as big an honour then any other award.
