I haven't disliked a Ranger as much as I dislike Gabby since the "dark ages".

Disappointing result. Losing in 6 or 7 would be acceptable. Losing in 5 or less is not. Feel for Hank. The fire truly burns in his belly. At least, take something ut of your opponent. The Caps will be well rested thanks to our failure.
Not enough talent upfront despite heroic efforts on the back end with a really, really young blue line. We need more skilled players in our top 6 because when we're down by a goal or two, the other team doesn't have all that much to fear. We can talk about Gaborik all we want, but Ovechkin has Green, Backstrom, Semin, etc... to take the pressure off. Gaborik doesn't.
there's no way to sugarcoat blowing game 4. it was a disaster.
A defensive team with a "great' goalie doesn't blow a 3 goal lead,
heading into the third.
that was an epic failure from the coaching staff on down. A disgraceful choke job.
did they look ready to play today's game? not a chance. just tough talk to try to save face from the game 4 disaster.
On the bright side, this season is going to do wonders for the kids next year. Stepan stood out to me in this series as someone who was just worn down after an 82 game season, and understandably so given that he played more than twice as many games as he did last year in college.
And for as much as people are rightfully criticizing Gaborik (who I think we'll find out in a few days was playing hurt), Steps, Anisimov, Boyle, and for the most part Dubinsky were completely invisible in this series.
Good series Rangers fans. Too bad there had to be so much childish trash talk in the Playoffs section. Ugh. Good luck in the future (legitimately, not being a sarcastic ass).
Some of you keep saying how we weren't even supposed to make the playoffs or were the 8 seed so were supposed to lose. That's a BS way to look at things. Most of you who take this approach are probably jet fans.
Idk about anyone else but I don't settle for less just because that's the way it was supposed to go. Were a better team than the caps and we played like **** this entire series except 2nd period of game 4. Im disappointed that we couldn't go farther with the hardest working team we've had in years along with the best goalie hands down in the NHL. I'm disappointed yes but not upset. In fact I'm proud of the team.
We have hard working blue collar players...tons of them...now we need outright skilled players and next year can be very special with some additions

Great point.

I don't think they all make as much as Gaborik combined. Or have the pedigree.
