The league itself would not allow such an obvious steal like this to occur. My god, please do not share this with outside boards.

Not very likely but do you think that Anaheim would deal Perry?

Girardi, Anisimov and a 2nd rounder?

The Rangers would take on some additional salary, (less than a million)

Still would allow them to pursue Richards, however, the following would be let go for cheaper younger options.

Prospal, EC, Avery, Fedotenko, Drury

Guys like Grachev, Hagelin, Zuccs, Thomas and hopefully Kreider would all be on the roster.

The forwards would be Perry, Richards, Gaborik, Dubinsky, Callahan, Stepan, and the kids above along with Prust and Boyle.

I think that we would have a much more talented team and one that could better compete in series like this one.

Thoughts?
I cant help but laugh at that.

Your looking at a Dubinsky Girardi 1st as a starting point.

Perry will not be had unless it's massive overpayment. Especially after this season.

Get a time-machine, go back to 2003 and tackle slats before he announces "the Rangers select...Hugh Jessimen"

Ducks wouldn't trade Perry ever. You would have to give Gaborik and Callahan for them to budge.

No they would still hang up unless Henrik name is included.
