I trust my eyes over the numbers in this case, although 47 points for a 21 year old sophomore is very solid.
I saw about 15 games of Philly down the stretch. He was horrible earlier in the season, I though they were going to move him he was doing so terribly. But he was much more intense in the final few weeks. He was creating chances by using his speed and size, something he was relying on his linemates to don earlier in the season. He's been the same in the playoffs.
And HP, just so you know, JVR plays the point on Philly's first powerplay unit, and has since the last 10 games of the season or so.
That, I agree with
i dont know how you ppl can watch so many games. i play in 3 leagues, have a gf, and work...watching Rangers games alone is tough to squeeze into my schedule lol.

But you're literally twice my age. That's understandable. I'm a teenager with center ice and nothing better to do on a Wednesday.

the guys cap hit is really high though. Sometimes he does not show up. He is a hell of a playoff competitor though, and I wouldnt mind having him, just wouldnt want to give a lot up

Remember couple games ago when the coach asked him to wear the visor (after Doan hit?) but he just ignored him? That was priceless.

If you look at the minutes each played in the series and reg season, Giroux averages more than JVR.
The quickest way to improve the Rangers is to get on the Organ donor List and get a heart for Gaborik . He is done...stick a fork in him and get him out of here for anything to free up some cap for somebody who works up a sweat . Personally I think he has been done since he fought with Carcillo and nobody jumped in for him .
Don't sign Richards...spend any free cap on the blueline to make us meaner back there and better on the PP . When we have 6 quality guys[4 just does not work] that can play defense and not be a liability... we will improve by a few more goals they generate and stop . 5-8 more wins and we have a nice team that is solid defensively which is how Cups are won...and the offense will come .
Blowing the cap money on 1 forward is a mistake...we need at least 3 to make that method work . Our forwards are not that bad...after we cull out the dead weight and add some more speed and tenacity which will cause turnovers on the forecheck . Definitely build from the Blueline...it is a proven method .
