Seeing Kopi there like that breaks my heart, really gutting sight to see.

Quite the serious look from the boys! Looks like a team who wants to complete the work they have in front of them.

I wish we had a cool, young head coach that the guys can get along with. Terry Murray just seems like he's so old and wouldn't even be able to relate to how our young group feels. You can even see in the video that TM doesn't even look at Kopitar or Moller, and they don't even dare make eye contact with him. I just feel like any other coach, younger coach, would be giving Kopi and Moller and High 5 too..

Just my two cents

Interesting, What if they don't respect a younger coach. It's ok to be friendly with players. But once you become a buddy, they stop respecting you.

I have coached Baseball all the way to JR College and one lesson I learned is. You have to keep the reins tight as a coach. Young people don't respect friends, they simply don't.
That turns into not working for you. They simply won't. It becomes a buddy/buddy hey I can get away with this/that.

It gets ugly in a hurry.

I agree 100% but I don't feel like we've got arrogant players. They'll of course learn to respect their coach but also get along with him. Sort of like Bylsma is with his players

Interesting enough. From being a Coach and Commanding Marines in combat (Staff Sgt). I have learned that youth today; either respects you or they don't. There is no Learning anymore. Sadly I think that has a lot to do with parents but that's another topic.

You need to have a Command presence at all times. Today's young people are a fickle bunch.
