I have a bad feeling about game 6, but there would be no better birthday present than a win. Get it done.

Leighton shutout? We aren't playing against the Canadiens.

I don't care if they throw pads on the equipment manager and stick him between the pipes. Just don't give up any freakin' softies and we'll win this game and we'll win this series.

So please, for my sanity, whoever plays goal for Philly ... just hold the freakin' post and stop the shots that a peewee goalie stops. Seriously.

Flyers win this game 3-2.

5-2 win for us. Richards, Giroux, JvR, Timonen and Coburn will have our goals. I don't want to shave off my playoff beard just yet, it's driving people around me crazy (boss, mother, grandmother, a few of my friends). They (the male ones in that list at least) are just jealous.

Get a result to match the performance you've been putting in.

Win! Win! Win!

In the spirit of the occasion, here's a song for you. Lyrics are a bit OTT but it kinda works. Sorry I don't know how to embed it in the post.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_3TlrZLpQ0

"Build a wall with the bodies of the dead - and you're saved
Make the world scared - come on, show me the sign of victory
Sign of victory - sign of victory"

Lets go Flyers!!!

Did Bob even practice yesterday? They said Boosh and MFL were in the nets and Bob was stretching by the boards.

If the Flyers really were concerned about Bob's mental toughness, they're not going to put him in an elimination game. If he blows it he'll brood about it all offseason. Put Boosh back in, he knows he screwed up and wants to redeem himself. And he's still better than MFL.

I feel like the writing is on the wall, but if this team has any guts they'll blow out the Sabres today at least.

I have no expectations left for this game. We have completely dominated the play in this series, yet trail 3-2. If Miller steals one of the next two games, we are done in one of the most unsatisfying playoff defeats I've ever seen. Our last 2 game 6s against Buffalo have been embarassing quit-jobs, so just don't do that please. Go out, dominate another game, and if Miller wins the series for them, so be it.

If we lose , which I never want, I hope we do get blown out and Boosh and MFL let 3 each in and we never see them again in the NHL. Force Holmer's hand in the offseason.

I know what you mean. I hate wearing Orange in opposing rinks. And today, if they lose, I would get into trouble as I would not be getting out without losing it !

Have fun and hope it is not the last game of season !

Because Boosh has been so damn bad in his career as a flyer right? he deserves to be in the NHL just not in a starting role that the Flyers have forced him into.

I don't give a **** what role he is in on another team. He is the starter on our team and was horrific and sucks and the whole world laughs at it. Back ups on contending teams have to be able to step in.

Did 8-0 in 2001 or 7-1 in 2006 force management's hand?

The Flyers are no different than the Eagles. They have a management philosophy that goaltending isn't worth spending on, and unless they bring in a GM that isn't a part of the Flyers family, I don't see that changing.

True story, I lost $600 on VLT's that night and fell out of a tree ! But you are bang on about mgmt's thinking, I am close to 100% certain that Bob/MFL will be the tandem next year which is so sad, but what can you do ?
