Oh you mean the guy that in the playoffs this year besides game 5 has stopped 59 of the 62 shots he's faced (.951 SV%) but hey I guess that's not being able to step in. He's done a phenomenal job thus far and should not be blamed for the Flyers shortcomings. Is it his fault that he's the starter here? no. Their is no reason that he should be the Flyers starting goaltender but he's done a damn good job.

He single handedly lost the last game, that is not a damn good job. Whether or not he should be a starter doesnt matter, he is and failed miserably. Sadly with the refusal to dress our best goalie, Boosh is the starter, but he gets no free rides from me for letting in 2 back to back goals that you expect a 12 year old to stop.

Yet you're not recognizing the fact that he backstopped the Flyers to two wins and almost a third if the offense could put the damn puck past Miller. Let's look at our mockery of goaltending. Brian Boucher is currently 6th in save percentage for playoff goaltenders. His .951% I mentioned earlier would place him 2nd behind Nitty (1st for starters). Obviously that thought process doesn't work because I would have to take out everyones worst performance and I'm too lazy to do that. But just for the hell of it let's look at the goalies currently behind Boucher...

Tim Thomas (soon to be vezina trophy winner)
Marc-Andre Fleury
Henrik Lunqvist
Roberto Luongo
Ilya Bryzgalov

He has done a perfectly fine job. Luongo and Fleury each lost a game by themselves but are they a mockery? No.

I wouldn't wear Flyers stuff in Buffalo. I had to have security protect my group several times for Flyers/Sabres and Wings/Bandits games up there. If you are alone or in a small group, it's a dangerous arena to be in.

As a Buffalo fan going to the game, I say wear it. Besides some good natured ribbing, nothing will happen. Buffalo crowds generally don't give beer showers or throw stuff. Pretty well mannered.

It's like they say "don't start none. There won't be none." You'll be fine.

The Flyers are no different than the Eagles. They have a management philosophy that goaltending isn't worth spending on, and unless they bring in a GM that isn't a part of the Flyers family, I don't see that changing.
7-1 sort of did. That set them up to figure it out when they came back to Buffalo and lost 9-1 in the first week of the next season. Then they started poaching the Sabres' personnel.

Didn't think I'd be this nervous this early into the playoffs.

I have to agree with this to a degree. Montreal game 5 style. Playing hard defence just isn't enough, he needs to take over and become THE MAN.

Lets go Flyersss!

Reemer will score two, whoever is in the net will let two weak ones in, but we'll still win. Book it.

We're going to know who wins this game in the first five minutes. Not necessarily because someone will score first (though, it wouldn't be shocking), but the way the teams come out. If the Flyers come out firing on all cylinders, watch out. If they come out flat, tee time is noon tomorrow.

That building is going to be rocking. Flyers will be doing well to hang on in the early going. Don't misinterpret surviving early and playing a good road game as coming out flat. It's going to be a tough day.

I, like many of you, won't be posting here due to it being Easter Sunday and family stuff and whatnot. If we're going for religious metaphors here, the Flyers are in need of a resurrection after succumbing on Good Friday. A win would be nice, don't care how it happens.

Thanks MSE. Here's hoping it's not your last Flyers GDT of the season.

Coming out flat is different than playing a good road game. If they come out firing they'll be fine. They don't have to score in the first five minutes, or even first at all. But if they come out flat the Sabres will take advantage of that on home ice and we may be looking at an 8-0 drubbing.

Flyers win this game 4-2....I know Buffalo has the momentum, but losing Pominville will have a mental effect on them. Just my opinion anyway.

3 hours before the game, who the hell is our goalie? jesus...

Coming out flat today should result in a total housecleaning but lapses are lapses. It'll be no different than if they're flat 5 minutes into the 2nd or 11 minutes into the third after dominating for a full period. They have to play 3 periods of good hard, disciplined hockey and execute on the power play and they'll beat this team. Do it two games in a row and they're on to round 2. No Pominville is a good thing today.
