How would Pred fans feel about losing the blue?

Just out of curiosity, how would you guys feel about losing blue from your colour scheme?

i played around with their alternate logo just for a feel.

and of course the yellow jerseys are (apparently) coming back next season
losing blue/grey and concentrating on yellow and something like red, might give us something like this:

(i apologize, i feel i can do logos decently, but jerseys ALWAYS get me)

anyway, just throwing it out there purely for the sake of conversation, what do you guys think!?

Please no .

I like the blue...

Logo looks pretty neat, but the color scheme is yucky. Reminds me of the older bruins/3rd jerseys.

Our old yellow jerseys were ugly, and those are ugly too. (No offense)

I vote to stick with blue.

The new TV's with the fourth color might change things, but the problem with yellow is that it doesn't show true on most broadcasts. It is over saturated. Logos don't show up particularly well on a yellow/gold background unless they're predominately black. The original mustard had white lettering for the player names that had to be removed because it couldn't be seen. Blue works well. Why change that?

Everything that we've seen has to lead us to believe that yellow is going to the forefront in the coming years with the heavily yellow ads. Then again I thought the opposite last year when they did the Black and Blue and then painted over the yellow in the arena. So really who the hell knows?

The blue is awesome.

You picked the worst possible color to go with the yellow, so congrats.

wow people, ease up a little.

considering that red was used as a secondary color, and how that's primary in the wings and blackhawks schemes, I don't see it working.

Props on the idea though, but I think the logo has to have some sort of backdrop to fall on.

Change the red to blue on your jersey attempt and see what we think and go with a darker yellow, almost more of a gold. Might be kind of cool.

with all the yellow shirts in the store, and the yellow towels, I am a little worried. BUT I distinctly remember reading an article last year quoting someone with the Preds saying they were eliminating yellow from the color scheme all together. What sense would it make it bring it back, especially when the public is telling you they don't want it. Only way I would like it is if it was Gold, which isn't yellow.

I'm still a fan of the mustard jersey. I know the players didn't like them because they were so heavy, but I would love to see them again.

I've never liked that cartoonish logo, personally. My issue with our current homes is that they look very dated\90s-ish...almost like ECHL or rollerhockey jersies. Some of the mock-ups I've seen people throw out look even worse.

Watching the Flyers\Sabres series has brought out some envy on my part...two teams with great-looking, simple, classic sweaters. Love it.

I think the third jersey was on the right track in terms of its simplicity. I can learn to live with yellow being the primary color (although I'm not convinced that's as 'done' as some are) if it's done properly, but I definitely don't want to see some garish disaster, a la the Thrashers' sweater.

Considering I chose blue for my star tattoo so I could bleed blue, I'd be disappointed. I do like that they seem to be headed to another "mustardish" jersey but please, keep the blue.

And please no red. I like the fact that we're the anti red.
