I'm elated that this series also seems to finally mark that point where the consensus of Sabres fans on Briere is "wish we could still have him" to "%$#% that little %^&%&^%."
Even though I didn't want him back, I don't think I really felt like I hated him as a player before this series.
I would take that little vampire back on this team in a ****ing heartbeat. I hate how well he plays against the Sabres, but dammit, he's got heart and soul. And great hands.
Regardless of whether they are the Broad Street Bullies of old or not. Coming into this series they fully expected to push us around. Not only has that not happened but we have given as good or better than we've gotten.
I think Philly is a little shocked that they haven't been able to intimidate us.

The best part about all this, is that it was Miller in game 1 who set the tone when he went after Richards. You see your goaltender and team-voted MVP doing that, and it just fires everyone up.

if only Lindy had done the decent thing, taken notice of what's said so loud and so often on this forum, and benched the hopeless Miller for Enroth - hell, even with Lalime in nets, we've had wrapped this up in four - what do we get now, courtesy of Miller and his dubious goatlending "talents" - entirely unnecessary games five and six - and everyone's gassed for round two - duh, thanks, Ryan
this really doesn't need the "facetious" smiley, does it ???

I have no ****ing clue what you are all talking about. Every board i've been posting on (flyers fan here) have been claiming how soft this team is.
Carter-soft
Richard-was gritty, now soft
hartnell- no longer that gritty
briere-soft
leino-soft
giroux-undersized, has a mean streak though
versteeg-ehhh
There is not much real gritt in this lineup. Maybe the new JVR, Coburn, Mez, Pronger. That's about it.
