Roberts name has come up too and in fair comparison in many ways.

The thing is that we still don't know where KC's O game will top out at. He has proven to be a very solid goal scorer at most every level he has played and of course a character guy too but so far he is still too much of an enigma imo to see where he will level out.

He's a very good young old school type of player and reminds me of so many great os types that you can name a ton of them and have an equal shot at being right.

To me so far he is allot like Pat Verbeek but he's isn't exactly there either.

It's gonna be fun to see how he develops and who he seems most like.

So far I would say that his style is truly good old time hockey and that he reminds me most of a young Kyle Clifford really.

Pros- Watch playoff hockey in a great atmosphere, Quick plays out of his mind again to possibly force game 7.

Cons- We could get blown out at home again, gas prices suck, I live in Ventura County, beer is overpriced, parking blows. etc.
Reality check:

Pro's - I can be a fan and BE THERE. support my team Win lose or draw, well, no draws in the playoffs but it still applies.

Con's - I can worry about my team getting beaten and have to endure a multitude of taunts and jeers from Sharks fans. I can hide in my basement where no one will see me cry. I can give up being a sports fan with all its thrills and tribulations, excitement and drama. I can stay home and never go outside because the big bad world out there is scary and SOMETHING bad might happen. I can never commit and reduce my worry because nothing matters THAT MUCH. I can become a NON-FAN.

Who says you shouldn't do both.

Classic statement from this weekend's trip:

The tall bartender at the Britannia Arms Bar (a nice enough guy but a big Sharks fan)after having me in there the last two weekends, (both times wearing my Kings Forum Blue Retro jersey) when I go to order my IPA after the win last night, extends his hand, and with a slight nod of his head, acknowledging that despite all the earlier pre-game talk his team couldnt get it done and that both he (and all the other (fragile) fans are starting to doubt again):

"Its not you, dont take it personal, you tip well, but I really dont want to see you here again."

I think he meant the team more than me, but it couldnt have been fun for him two Saturdays in a row to have a bar owned by a former Sharks player with a sign in the window saying "This is Sharks territory" invaded by celebrating Kings Fans.

On to Monday.

P.S. I'm currently soliciting any and all old or secret remedies for getting one's voice back. Pretty certain a good portion of mine is still echoing in the shark tank

The Yard House at LA Live? It's been open several months at least.

They just opened-up a Yard House in San Jose. It's the first one in N.California. It's in Santana Row, just down the row from the Hotel Valencia where the Kings frequent.

Monday's game is being played at Staples, so we were talking about the YARDHOUSE at LA Live.

Economics are one thing, but the fear of watching a loss, even a season ending one, will never stop me from attending a game, just as it didnt stop me from going to San Jose this weekend. Now Jr has memories of what its like to invade a foriegn country and despoil their landscape.

Look at the guy at the top of this list, and look at the guy at the bottom.

They're going with the guy at the bottom. 4.30 GAA and he is their guy for game 6.

What a glorious opportunity to force a game 7.

I didn't make any specific mention about LA Live in my post.

I was asking about the SJ Yardhouse. Santana Row is pretty good area to frequent, along with the Campbell area.

Gotcha, from what you posted you sounded like you were in San Jose. I thought you resided there or something.

Yeah its something I am thinking about. We'll see.

Glad jr. had a good time, hopefully we'll see a game 7.

... Honestly, if the Kings can play their game, and execute the way I have seen them execute - it doesn't matter who will be in goal for the Sharks. I don't consider either one of their goalies any better than fair.

They've earned the chance to play one more home game. It's up to them to make it count.

I feel the same way. We can do this. The Kings have superior defense and goaltending.

Only problem is, the Kings have been unable to execute defensively at home recently.

The odd thing about this series is that I don't think we've seen both teams simultaneously at their best. They seem to take turns sucking.

I love what I am seeing on the boards and around the team.

I am happy that I am seeing more and more people getting on board with the idea that the playoffs are one big celebration and the ultimate chance for us fans to support our team.

All of the same problems that were there before the playoffs may or may not still be there but what is most important is that you root hoot howl cheer holler shake a can of rocks or whatever else you can do to let your team and everyone else know that you are a Kings fan.

The off season and the regular season we can get caught up in countless hours of debate but the playoffs are a different thingl I been cool to watch so f

Yup. We start off HOT at home early in the season, then suck like a Dyson thereafter and have been, at best, crazy inconsistent since.

I will tell you one thing - they are DUE for a big win at home.
