Yea, I hear that, but moral support doesn't win hockey games, and neither do defensemen that can't give us quality minutes.

I mean, Pronger can grab some pom poms and cheer the team when they come in the locker room if they want moral support, but we need players that can play right now.

If Prongs can't go then he can't go. But yea, dress someone else and let's play.
They scored a power play goal, and he was on the ice. That's more than whoever the 12th forward would have given.

Not pictured because people hate Mike Richards: assists on the tying and winning goals.

I think having Pronger dressed gives a certain ease and calmness to the team.
Knowing he IS there in case he really has to play when they're up a goal with 30 seconds left.

Yea, I get that, I just don't agree with it. Not trying to rag on anyone, I just don't agree with the decision to dress him at this point.

Like I said, I don't often question Lavi, but I don't like dressing someone who can't help the team. But yea, I'm just a guy, and Lavi gets paid to make these decisions so....

Wow, just seen the hit for the first time. WTF?? Suspension for that? Penalty fine. But that is not deserving of a suspension.

Fair enough.

I don't agree with the decision, but that's neither here nor there. The Flyers pulled it out, so today is a good day.

If he plays now and that makes him aggravate his injury, then this was really a stupid decision. Otherwise, one of Wellwood/Holmstrom/Rinaldo would have been in the lineup. Doubtful if they would have contributed more than Pronger today.

I can't imagine Pronger wouldn't play Game 7 though. I'm sure time will still be limited, but at least you can use him in some matchup situations such as offensive zone draws.

Yea, fair points.

I'm nitpicking, really. Nerves get the best of me at this time of year and I over analyze everything. It is what it is.

Let's hope we take Game 7 and get Prongs healthy soon.

Scheider in net for Vancouver...at least the Flyers aren't the only ones with goalie problems.

I barely survived this game, I don't even want to think about Game 7... I think I survived only because I spent first half of the game on practice

Hopefully this shuts up all the Leighton lovers. He got his chance "to redeem himself" as I've read on here, and failed miserably like the rest of us knew he would.

Can we all put that to rest now?

TIA

It's time to drive the rest of the playoffs with Bob and Boosh. If Bob fails, get Boosh to come in, then play the next game, then Bob the game after until he falters again.

Lavy took a huge gamble with leighton.
So much fail.

Boosh let in 1 softy, but was solid.

With mediocre goatending in the last 2 games, the series would be over in laughers.

With a less than mediocre PP, it would be done in 5.

Game 7
It's on

lavi and homer awarded a get out of jail free card today courtesy of boosh and a stellar performance from the offense. way to go boys, getting it done at all costs. i love it. bring it home and kill these guys on tuesday.

the win today prevents the decision to start leighton from being one of the worst in franchise history (it's still up there).

Danny is so clutch it is absolutely absurd. I can't believe there were so many people who complained about him 1-2 years ago.

The heart and clutchness of the skaters on this team can never never never be questioned again, right?
