To Columbus: Brett Burns
To Minnesota: Jakub Voráček + 1st pick

I very like Kubo I do not want to trade him but we need a defensman so we must sacrife someone.

I would consider it. Don't know enough about Voracek though.

Would love to have Burns but that is too high a price for just a single year.

That's not a good idea for Columbus.

#8 and Voracek? Nope not going for it, #8 and Filatov okay. I said before #8 our 2nd rounder Mason and Filatov for Backstrom and Burns.

I've been a fan of this proposal as long as Couturier/Hamilton/Murphy are taken before #8. Minnesota would have to add something minor, but value is about equal.

Can't believe it took 8 posts to realize that the OP called him 'Brett"

Ha, Filatov has a low price now but his potential is great. So trade him would be not too good for too low compensation. And if we would trade Filatov we would must give not only draft pick but, thanks to his prise, still something and not little. Because I would not trade Filatov.

I would like to keep Kubo but he has some price and he is not untouchable. We could trade Brassard but he is a center and we have prbolems with this spot.

The OP's primary language isn't English, so spelling/grammatical/syntax errors aren't uncommon. That includes names.

I love the premise but I think a conditional pick would need to be coming the other way.

No way unless Burns is signed first for multiple 3-5 years at <5 million.

I'm all in for this, and would be willing to cough up a conditional pick upon Burns signing an extension. It would cost the Jackets some dough, Burns' agent Ron Salcer has a reputation for getting his clients PAID.

Hell, I'd do Burns for Voracek and your '11 2nd.

Backstrom has a no trade clause and I doubt he'll waive it.
