Nigel Dawes?
41 goals in 66 AHL games.
The guy definitely has a scoring touch this team could use...
Should room be made for him in the Game 6 lineup?
(Just throwing that out there as a discussion piece
)

AHL success does not equal NHL success. He was called up once, looked "okay" and got sent down. Doubt he helps make a difference in last night's game.

Its not the best idea... just a discussion topic.
Still, the Habs have lost 3 games in a row by one goal... and its not as if Dawes never scored at the NHL level... and he is in full AHL PO playing condition...
Could Moen get 41 AHL goals? could White?
anyway, just saying...

He looked decent in his limited role in his callup, and he has talent. Sort of like Desharnais, only with different dimensions in his offensive game. I think he's as good as Desharnais. Just that you can't hide his size on the wing on an already-small team very well. And eventually you couldn't on his previous teams either. He could score 20 goals in the NHL. Guys like Moen and White couldn't. But anyway, Dawes will probably get some offers from the KHL or Switzerland. I'd love to see him stay around in Hamilton, however. We might not have room for him on the team, but we have room in the organization, and it wouldn't be so painful to call him up if we got an injury to one of our smurfs at some point, one would notice his limitations less. Just idle musings, though.

He did pretty well for the Rangers, but we're a small enough team as it is. We don't need another player that's only slightly bigger than Desharnais.

Interesting.
Marinaro on Team 990 just said he would...
"like to see Dawes in the lineup because you beat the Bruins with speed, and Dawes in playing very well in Hamilton..." (or something very close to that)
So I'm not crazy!
Call him up, put him on the 3rd line and tell him to shoot like crazy.

Personally I would called up Palushaj before Dawes.

I'd use Weber or give BP another chance. Those two are stiffs at the NHL level

I'd prefer to stick Pouliot next to Gomez and Gionta and force him to play 18 minutes.
Otherwise, sure bring Dawes up, Moen has no role in the top6.

Sure why not!....I think we should stick Poulliot with Gomez, Gionta and let him sink or swim for 18 minutes...he has had enough time to develop...
