And did i say he was going somewhere?

Sheppard is a more valuable center commodity than Plekanec?

Why so? Sheppard is young and has great upside, sure. But Plekanec is a proven scorer. His three straight 20-goal seasons are not a matter of future conjecture. His best season is of the 30-goal, 70-point variety (take a goal here).

He's also not a guy I would see traded for Sheppard straight up.

Then throw in a young NHLer who individually is better than Sheppard (roughly the same age, much better results) and a big D-man...

It doesn't matter much if the players fit or not with the Wild. Montreal is getting ripped off in this proposal, and badly. Montreal gives two players who are better than Sheppard individually and then add a third asset just for kicks.

It's a terrible proposal no matter which way you look at it from.

Sheppard would have had to show a heck of lot more than he did in his first 2 season to command such a return. Being drafted 9th overall doesn't automatically make a player a star. 9 goals in 160 NHL games certainly doesn't!

Sheppard had 24 points in 82 games. This is ****ing stupid. You don't trade those 3 players for Sheppard.

WOW - amazing how things have changed from 20 months ago.

Sheppard has the value of a bag of pucks.

Gui - is actually a WILD (when healthy)

Looking back at the originally proposed deal .... I think the Wild would have made out like bandits had they done it.
