I wonder how different things would have been with Kopi.

I can't wait to see that number 11 jersey on the ice again.

After the consensus was that SJ would walk all over us we win 2 in their building but go 0-3 at home, blew a 4-0 lead at home, and yet we should have forced a game 7 with a 5 min PP. This series started off with no hope without kopitar, and now its pretty bitter sweet to know we actually good of won that series. Good experience for the guys, a lot of adversity was faced. In the long run i think it was a pretty beneficial series.

Come from behind 3 times in the game get to OT... then... the least clutch player in the whole league gets a goal.

Just gutted.

look at the positive.... if we came back this series our genius front office probably would have given TM an extension.

What makes losing this series so hard is the fact that we actually had a chance to win it...

I hate how predictable that is. FUDKLhflksdhf

Yep. I would have bet my life on the Sharks winning if the Kings failed to score on that.

Richardson -4
Clifford -3
Simmonds -3

Great timing for that.

Kind of odd how you can be so disappointed at losing this series when I had less than zero expectations coming in. Both this year and last year could have just as easily ended in a Kings sweep. So frustrating.

Great series guys. Everyone GROSSLY underestimated the Kings. They really pushed the Sharks to the brink. This series is different if Kopi was healthy. This is the first time in my five years here on HF that I actually had a good time in the GDTs with the other team's fans. You guys are a great, and lighthearted, bunch. It would rule to see some of you guys in Anaheim when we do our infestation next year. I would be honored to drink a large amount of beer and taunt the Ducks fan with you guys

Bottom line is the better team won.

Our boys played their hearts out but SJ is just the superior team right now.

The Kings wouldn't quit, but they need some help in the off-season.

Kings were just tired. They didn't have the talent the Sharks have. They do have probably the most offensively talent top three lines in the league, and we had to take them on without our best player (who probably was better than any of their players this season) and Williams who was 80% at best.

Only reason it hurts is because we had so many chances to extend or even win this series. If we had Kopitar, I think this series would have been drastically different.

I really do hope we go after Richards. Dean should see from this series that the core of guys we have are very good, but we need Kopitar and someone like Richards to scare the other team.

You can't win many playoff series when your scariest line is made up three young guys with like fifteen games of playoff experience all under their belt.

They blew a 4-0 lead and couldn't keep their season alive on a 5 minute major. A loss well earned, I'd say.

I pretty much stopped investing after Game 3.

Kings threw what they could muster at the Sharks. Just wasn't enough.

It was a good run. Really looking forward to next season's roster...and getting Kopitar back in the lineup.

Heck, I expected a 4-0 sweep. They got 2 wins, I am happy. I don't blame anyone as much other than the coaching staff and the Colorado Avalanche!

Keeping this brief, as a visitor in enemy territory (sort of):

Thanks for being awesome Kings fans. Typically my experience with other fans on HF is a bit tainted. This was not one of them. Thanks for being highly respectful and intelligent when discussing this series.

You have a hell of a future, lots of good players. One player in particular, Doughty, may be going through his growing pains now, but my god the talent that guy has is amazing. He's only 21? Maybe 21? He's going to be great for you guys for a long, long time. I'd trade anyone on the Sharks not named Pavelski for him.

A few adjustments, maybe one behind the bench, and it could easily be the Kings going in as Pacific Division Champs and moving on next year.

Best of luck in the offseason. Keep Richards from going to TO, I love those fans whining!

Feel free to pick up a bandwagon avatar on SJ's forums if you like!

3 losses in 3 home games...that's tough. The Kings struggled all year at home though. PP obviously wasn't great all year. Home records and PP are certainly areas that the Kings need to improve on for next year.

Thanks for an awesome series. I have been wary of your talent for a few years now, and I am happy to say that we will be battling for the pacific for the next few years hopefully . Quick was good, Clifford was great, I love/hate Doughty.

Thanks for the civility in the series, and see you next year.

P.S. ducks suck

Can't deny how overmatched we/they looked. Need more skill on this team. We can't keep going like this.

That sd this team has heart...good series
The disappointment of game 3 still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

Had we had kopi to actually a faceoff and play a little d, who knows.
