Absolute joke that the league wouldn't even look at it.

You do realize this is the Sabres message board, right?

Yeah, but that is not the point. Obviously you think you are getting the raw deal (if it happened to the Flyers, I would too), but come on. The Flyers aren't getting the calls because the refs/league are out to get the Sabres or they favor the Flyers. Maybe if it were the Pens, I'd agree or say you had something there, but historically, the Flyers seem to be the ones getting the raw deal for their reputation, not getting good calls for their reputation.

Well, it is the point. You're on another team's message boards during a hard-fought playoff series arguing about the officiating with them. You're not going to get a lot of converts.

It's somewhat off topic, but I do enjoy the visible disdain Miller and Richards have for each other.

As far as I can tell, Ken Campbell and James Mirtle are the only members of the media calling for a suspension.

Interestingly enough, they're also villified heavily by fans who endorse the dinosaur "let them play" mentality that don't believe that was worth a suspension (or, according to some, even a penalty).

The best part is even Tim Panaccio, he who routinely craps on Buffalo every chance he gets, believed it was worth 5 minutes. A major would've resulted in an automatic game misconduct. A game misconduct would've removed Richards from the game.

I am a habs fan and consider myself impartial in regards to the winner of this series.

Just like to stop by and wish the best for Tim, as I thought the league once more failed to punish a very disgraceful hockey play.

Jeremy Roenick just agreed that there should have been supplemental discipline on the versus telecast. There are pockets of sanity in the media

It wouldn't take much to convince me that Keith Jones is actually wearing a Philly jersey under his suit

What's funny to me is that if Kaleta did the EXACT same hit on Richards, the Flyers fans would be calling for a suspension or a 5 & 10 just the same. I guess thats fandom for you.

The hit was dirty any way you slice it, but the NHL picks and chooses who gets suspended and who doesn't, I dont understand why, but thats how it is. I guess that NHL wheel of justice might actually be real.

Don't you Flyer's fans have your own board?

While the calls have been uneven throughout the league many fans may be concerned that the Flyers ownership is to pay over 6 million dollars a year to nhl teams which some could see as a conflict when hard calls must be made.

The sick part of me wants someone to do this to Richards in this game so we can heart the Flyers' and their fans' reactions. This play could happen 10 times a game but it doesn't because usually players have regard for their fellow players safety along the boards like that. Obviously Richards doesn't so the Sabres should have no regard for his.

My only hope is that the guys use this as locker room fodder to fuel them up for a win tonight.

Richards is apparently showing lots of leadership by ducking the Buffalo media who want to ask him about the hit.

He has lots of practice at ducking the media in Philly -- shouldn't be a problem to slip past the TBN and GR lot.
