Wow, Langkow plays 4 games and is nominated?!?!? Are you kidding me? He should be on next year's list... not this year!

Without looking, which one is higher;

PMB goals or Masterson nominee games?

I can understand Emery, but Langkow's played 4 games and Laperriere isn't even practicing yet. Absolutely ridiculous.

Nominees but it's close. 14 games to 12 goals.

What's weird to me is that Bouchard got concussed by a head shot, and then was snubbed. Lappy got concussed blocking a shot and hasn't played since. Langkow got hurt blocking a shot and barely played since. Emery was just a lazy guy who was booted off his team for being a cancer in the room and managed to catch on with a team that had injuries. Russo RT'd a comment about Cole breaking his neck twice off dirty hits yet neither time was he a finalist. Savard got concussed off a dirty hit and wasn't a finalist, even though he's fought through a lot of concussions. Patrice Bergeron got that head hit and came back and wasn't a finalist. It seems like the league kind of wants to gloss over those injuries, doesn't it?

You have got to be f'ing kidding me...
That just goes to show, that nobody outside of Minny cares about the Wild ot it's players.
It's a shame, Bouch would have deserved it, or at least get some recognition.

So a dude that blocks a shot (sure, ouch) comes back for the play-offs (of last season), but doesn't play a single game this season and is officially part of the Flyers front office?

yeah, i respect that...

but... isn't part of this coming back from adversity?

If I was running NHL's PR department I'd want to keep any potential concussion-related news out of the news. PMB got snubbed but I definitely am not surprised.

this is a joke. they had to give it to one of these guys now because The Crosby will be getting it next year no questions asked. even if he doesn't play a game. Surprised they didn't give it to him this year. JOKE.

It does sound plausible but the only problem is that the writers vote on this award.

Absolutely disgusting. Nobody deserves it more this year, and if he played for one of NBC's pet teams like Laperriere did he would have been nominated, no question.

More proof that the NHL doesn't really care about head shots??? Its more about something major travesty in the life of the player which gives them the nod I think. Past winners have always either had cancer themselves, something ungodly happen to a child, or along that lines it seems.

Is there any way we can effectively raise a stink about this while all the hockey media's in town for the draft?
