regarding how they are blowing the penalties out of proportion....1st period, we each got one; 2nd period, (remove offsetting, campbell was a gift because it wasnt a crosscheck), puck over the glass is automatic, so what's left? 2 minors vs. 1 minor; the 3rd and OT had no penalties other than the PS, which is also auto

so they are blowing out of proportion 3 minutes of the game where we took 1 minor (high sticking) and they took 2 minors (goaltender interference, hooking). we got one more (blown) PP on them and they are crying a river about the game being fixed.

GOOD GOD

Outside of game 2, the penalties have been pretty even. The Hawks had more PP's in game 4 but thats because the Canucks were gooning it up in that game.

Stalberg was pretty awful last night

Was he not?

I thought Stalberg was invisible in Game 6.

His horrible cycle game drew that delay of game penalty by Hodgson. Pretty much the only contribution he had.

In your eyes Stalberg is always pretty awful.

But its not the right time to bash the own players.
I dont get that.
He is a part of our team. We need him tomorrow.

What would you say if he scores the gwg in overtime?

I know you hate him, but give the guy a break...

It's not like we really have a better option right now. He flubbed a couple good chances, but really, Smith is the only better option and he has been playing well with hossa and sharp.

EDIT: Also, stalberg brings a bit of size to that line and surprisingly, his defense looks improved from when he was on the toews line early in the year. That said, he's got 0SOG the past two games, that needs to be improved.

Wonder what the take is on Gillis blasting the refs today? Do you think it would have an impact against Chicago? I'm surprised nobody said anything about Gillis from the Chicago side.

just as likely to backfire on him IMO. I can't imagine a GM *****ing about officiating in public has really ever been an effective strategy in a major sport. It certainly hasn't worked in the NBA.

If Stalberg scored the GWG in OT I would say good job

But he didn't

As of now he is doing pretty much nothing and that is a problem. He is playing LW with Toews/Kane

He should be able to contribute something

Gillis says that refs sucked, what a shock

Watch out for some phantom calls just to make sure that Gillis can't say after the game that Refs sucked again. I see us with more PIM - Gillis sucks, to bad he failed to ice a PO Team

I think Gillis, first of all, is an idiot, and second, this is going to blow up in his face.

Just goes to show how big of a joke the Vancouver Canucks organization is. All the more reason to win tonight. I've never seen anything as pathetic as this in my life.

What happens if the refs favor Vancouver and the Canucks still lose?
