....anyway....I'll head back over to the B's board. Glad to see no one trying to defend that Horton call. That is not hockey at all; makes our game less exciting to make a call like that.

Au revoir.
That was not only and illegal hit, but it was completely unnecessary. The puck was long gone...it was vicious.

I am a Kostitsyn fan... but he isn't having a great game.

I'm not a Gomez fan... but he is having a great game.

Go figure.

I guess that is why it is a team sport. When one group of guys falters another takes up the slack.

Its been this way since at least 2002. Before then when the habs were in the playoffs I was too young to pay attention to the announcers.

The Sabres had their chance but blew a 3 goal lead in a game that would have eliminated the Flyers.. They don't deserve to win after that..

I don't get it either. Our St. Patrick's Day parade is a pretty big deal so I'm guessing there's quite a large Irish population. I do know a ton of Irish descendants so I suppose it's not much of a guess. I happen to be part of it too but I have zero love for that city or its teams. Screw the Celtics, the Bruins, the Red Sox, the Patriots, and anyone who loves that place.

Can't say I disagree, and on home ice no less.

It was 5 IMO. I hate dirty hits and it's not bias, I disliked pouliot stupidity charging into the B's D the other night and this is no different, only it was a hard shove from behind. It's 5, I dislike 'and a game' part though.

With Cherry yes always, but in the last few years they've added Milbury and Stock and went pro-Bruins big time. MacLean has become brain addled by hanging around Cherry for so long.

2002 is as far back as my recollection goes as well, I was too young to pick up on the nuances of the announcers before.

The only reason they got that 3 goal lead was due to awful Flyers goaltending. If the goalie is only average, the Flyers are a much better team than the Sabres.

Pouliot got called for about a dozen penalties this year just for lifting other players sticks which is perfectly legal. Horton whacked Pleks to cause him to lose the puck that gave Horton a breakaway. Refs will call those heck AK's wasn't as bad.

Every time Carey makes a glove save, I imagine him saying "My puck, Carey's puck!" in the same voice as "My ball, Neg's ball!" from Neg's Urban Sports
