having a discussion with a canucks fan on their bord. he thinks the canucks have got the monkey off their back and will be loose and relaxed from here on.
my counter to that is they are such prohibitive favorites that if we can scratch out one win in the first two at Vancouver the pressure on them will ratchet up dramatically... I can just hear the cries of "OMG we finally beat the hawks but now we are gonna lose to THESE GUYS?? YGBSM?!?!?!ZOMG"
You know we are going to be criminally underrated for this series. No one is going to give us a chance. Keith Jones still likes us.
Really glad we drew the Canucks. The Wings and Sharks are the two best teams in the West right now, let them beat each other up. Vancouver will be worn out physically and emotionally after such a tough series, we need to come out flying in game 1 after a nice rest.

That's a good point, they're a very vulnerable team right now. From what I've seen from them so far they don't play the full 60 minutes every game aswell, which could allow us to scratch out a couple gritty wins by overworking them. So effin hyped for this series. I hate the canucks, HATE EM! The sedins are going down!
The Sedins are going to have a great round 2. The Hawks have played 29 games vs the Canucks inthe last 3 years. They have the Twins figured out..and they were still able to put up almost ppg points. I think that they will be really effective but Vancouvers depth up front probably wont be as big a factor as it was vs Chicago.
Chicago couldnt deal with us throwing out 4 good lines. Depth guys like Samuelsson Burrows Higgins Raymond Hansen made it hard for Chitown to match. These guys wont be as usefull vs the Preds team defense approach imho.

The Canucks D are A LOT deeper and better than the Ducks. Canucks hit a lot too. Totally out hit the hawks. Those are the two biggest differences between the Nucks and Ducks....

Congrats Preds fans, in facing the Canucks you have immediately increased your fan base by an enormous amount. Don't be fooled though, if you fail they will leave and curse you just as easily. HF will be rooting for you but this Canuck fan is looking forward to a great, tough series.
I feel for you Preds fans. First Ducks fans and now, Canucks fans.

I think most of us realize that the majority of people are rooting us on more because of hatred of the Canucks than liking the Predators. That said we'll take any and all that want to join the bandwagon and I agree with you sir, I'm looking forward to a great, tough series.
