Any chance of trading Antropov

Now that the Leafs have three centers any thought that Antropov might get traded? If so for what?

He might be a centre, but all of last season him and Poni were on Neiwey's Wing.

He might as well stay on the wing. We probably wouldn't get much for him.

Bad time to trade him. His value would not be so high, and he may see his value go up significantly in the next few seasons.

1 mill for him is a good price. He doesn't got value and he often plays LW. Not a bad fit, hte only think I wouldn't mind is him, Berg, and a pick for Zetterberg.. Like what I've heard.

I think we only make Leafs fans look bad when we discuss such rumours.

I don't mind nik because he played quite well with joe and poni, but if we can get a better deal.. why not?

They had similar numbers.. And I'm not proposing the trade either, I just saw that on some other boards.

I know. But certain yahoos are just lurking around hoping we will just refer to such rumours, so they can interject with a laughing emoticon.

See the yahoo who posted above for an example.

I'm the yahoo who posted above. I just referred to it because in my opinion it seemed resonable.

I do not want to see Antropov leave for a stupid 4th round draft pick or something like that, just to dump salarie. For the million he makes he is worth it.

A lot for a guy who had one more goal than Stajan last season.

So are you suggesting Stajan and Klee/5th. for Zetterberg?

Stajan = less potential. But for some reason I'd rather have Stajan..

Maybe we could trade him for Doug gilmour? How bad can dougies knee be.
LOL antro has little or no trade value. So what would be the point?
The only way he gets traded is in a package with a guy we dont want to trade so I say if JFJ didnt want him he wouldnt have qualified him.

But probably trade him to some other team's player of no trade value. Tonnes of those guys around, how about Mattias Weinhandl, Kristian Huselius, Stephen Weiss, Mark Bell, Mike Ribeiro, ... oh too many to list.

No, I'll give Stajan a chance to see if he can get better by the time he is Zetterberg's age.

I'm going to have to agree that no one would want Antropov in a trade except maybe for considerations, player to be named or a late pick next year (4th round or worse).

And while I don't like Antropov - what the hell would be the point? $1M salary dump?

Good idea. A very good prospect, and Zetterberg isn't bad either for a late bloomer. Like to keep on eye on those late bloomers.

Oh, yes, just too many players like Antropov around. Heck, if you look at the 1998 draft, probably there are a dozen players better than Nik selected that year.

I'd keep him but if the Leafs can pick up Maxim Afinaganov from Sabres Im all for it.

Isn't he like, their highest salary and biggest name? I don't know what they're thinking in terms of signings, letting Satan go and all, but I don't see Afinaganov leaving.
