MTL plays to Bostons weaknesses, Philly plays to their strengths. I'm expecting a much more entertaining series where the boys can play their game without second guessing every play.

Montreal is a tough team and had the Bruins number in the regular season. Huge series, big wake and tough battle in the playoffs.

Time to look ahead. Does anyone have the Bruins vs Flyers stats for the regular season?

The first line will break out against the Flyers, they match up better against Philly.

Let's go Bruins!

Im in a similar boat. Their goaltending is so god awful and I think we match up well with the flyers. I think the Bs can and will win that series.

would anyone switch the lines up against philly, I know we scored 4 tonight but the lack of offense scares me against philly.

Why? Their goaltending sucks. In fact, all three other teams in the East have unreliable goalies left, I like our chances go get to the Finals.

the third line played great in the series but I would love to see two real scoring lines and a traditional checking line...but it's working now so if it ain't broke don't fix it right

I think the Bruins match up much better against Philadelphia than they do against Montreal, but Philadelphia is a better team than Montreal.

It's probably going to be another long series.

Let's go B's!

if you guys want any chance of winning this series, you have to do a couple of things..

1. shutdown briere and philly's powerful offense
2. thomas has to be on his game 24/7
3.B's offense must break through tough philly defense and pepper their weak goaltending with quality chances.

Theme of this playoff seems to be redemption with finally winning a game 7 and now Philly next round. Keep it up crush these punks!

You do realize that its basically the same goaltending that was involved in the series last season which the bruins became a part of history and not in the good way.

At the start of the playoffs Boston was a matchup I didn't want but after watching your series against Montreal, Boston doesn't strike much fear, and as bad as Boucher has been, Thomas has looked VERY beatable. The flyers beat Miller and should have no problem against a lesser goalie in Thomas

We won a series without scoring a PP goal and the first line playing very poorly the entire series minus Horton's magic in OT.

If these two problems get fixed even a little, I like our chances, we can shut down Philly's offense.
