I can't wait to watch two teams actually play hockey, instead of having to worry about the other team diving, and faking their way to every powerplay.

Gameplan: Attack Pronger

Dump it in his corner, hit him, wear him down, test that ankle. I don't support intentionally injuring any players, but those little love taps to the sore spots will happen from guys like Marchand. Keep Pronger at less than 100% effectiveness and this series is ours. If he plays his regular minutes both during the game and on the PK, we're in trouble. Neutralize him, and the scale tips in our favor.

Philly's offense is more explosive, sure, but our team D is being underrated. Bergeron's line and the Kelly line will keep up with Briere and Giroux, and I can see Paille-Campbell-Thornton playing more of a role this series since they match up physically better with a larger team like Philly.

Thomas vs. Boucher/Leighton/Bobrovsky, enough said.

If our PP clicks(which it should if Pronger's still playing hurt), we'll be in good shape. It can't possibly be as bad as it was in the first round, can it?

Not scared at all of the flyers. They had alot of trouble vs buffalo (a worse hockey team than the habs). We'll win this in 5.

I have a feeling the Philly goaltenders are going to do wonders for our powerplay woes.

I see you haven't been reading the Buffalo board. They've been complaing about the Flyers (i.e. Laviolette) and the officiating since the puck drop in G1.

He broke his right hand. His ankle is fine.

Pronger should be good to go. He played roughly 17:30 in G7, and that's despite only taking one shift in the last 10 minutes (since the game was basically over by then).

I'd say you could argue about that. Buffalo was the best team in the East since Jan 1st (record wise).

Quote me on it. I'll gladly eat crow if I am wrong. You can make me an avatar and everything. I'm that confident.

This Bruins team just won a series against a team who LIVES for the man advantage, and the Bruins are a team that couldn't buy a goal on the powerplay, let alone playing an incredibly hot goaltender.

They won the series 5 on 5 without scoring a powerplay goal. This team showed heart, determination, and sheer will to win. This is not the team of last year. At all. And this series the powerplay will be more of a factor because in all honesty, Philly's goaltending is not as good as Montreal's. Its a fact.

I predicted that if Boston could get by Montreal, this could be a nice run in the playoffs for them. I stick by that word.

So which garbage goalie will be starting to begin the series... and which one in the middle and end?

Seguin in for Thornton please. Philly has trouble with speed, and having Seguin in the lineup would be advantageous...plus the PP garbage needs to be fixed. Can't go at a 0% rate against a real team like the Flyers.

The X factor against Philly

I hope that our bruins are driven this series from the memory of last May. They are stronger than last postseason and I want to see them all play like they want to exorcise the demons that still haunt this fanbase.

I didn't want to post last night because I was in too good of a mood and celebrating sweet, sweet victory. What a blast by Horton!

But I gotta be honest -- the Bruins were lucky to get out of the first round alive, nevermind last night's game. The team still doesn't skate for a full 60 minutes, defensive lapses were a-plenty, and the power play looked absolutely abysmal. Thank god we had unsung heroes like Ference, Kelly and Ryder to pick up the slack.

They're going to really, really need to step it up if they want to advance past the second round. I believe they can.
