I hope Price and Subban go, Canada takes international history and willingness to represent Canada into account when picking the olympic team.

That would be great, his trade value would be really high this summer

It's interesting how Cammalleri's name isn't getting mentioned...

Cammalleri won't make the olympic team, Canada is too deep at forward.

I don't give a **** about the world championships, I only want Price and Subban to go to improve their chances at going to Sochi.

I wasn't referring to the Olympic team. Cammalleri won't make that... I was talking about the World Championship team and just plain helping Canada...

Here is what another poster has as the lineup:

Nash Spezza ________
Ladd Tavares Duchene
Skinner Zajac Stewart
Kane Vermette Clutterbuck
Eberle

_________ Phaneuf
Pietrangelo Schenn
_________ Burns
Methot

_________
Reimer
Dubnyk

The short list:
Price Subban
J. Staal Letang Fleury
Myers Connolly Roy
M. Staal
Toews Keith Seabrook Sharp Crawford
Doan
Doughty Smyth Penner

I think that if Toews doesn't go, that Cammalleri would be a perfect addition to that first line.

Connolly is American.

I could see Myers or Doughty, or both going. Possibly Subban.

with Doughty, M. Staal and Seabrook, I really doubt Subban will make the WC.

Hope none of them go. It's just a chance to get needlessly injured. Let our Habs spend the summer drinking protein shakes in the hyperbaric chamber.

There is zero chance Seabrook is going. Staal as well is very unlikely.

That teams is so weak, he would probably be one of their top forward.

Players that could be invited :

Cammalleri-Canada
Subban-Canada
Price-Canada
Gomez-USA
Gionta-USA
Wiz-USA
Plekanec-Czech Republic
Spacek-Czech Republic
Hamrlik-Czech Republic
Kostitsyn-Belarus
Eller-Denmark
Weber-Switzerland

Harmlik, Spacek and Wisniewski could use a rest. I don't think that Gionta and Gomez want to play with that weak US squad. I think the rest will probably accept the invitation.
Ya I agree with your list and with the fact some of these guys should decline and take the time off.

Yeah if Seabs goes, I'd be perplexed.

Doubt A.K will go... He seemed to play with an injury ( after blocking Chara's shot in game 2 )

But I hope he will tho lol...

Anyhow i really hope to see:

Eller -> Denmark
Weber -> Swizterland
Price -> Canada
Subban -> Canada

It will make me watch Denmark, Switz and Canada play lol

I'd prefer everyone sit it out, most of all Price. Playing these back-to-backs at the end of a 7-game series has likely taken a toll on them; the last thing they need is a long plane ride and jet lag and trying to play more hockey.

I'd rather have Price sit it out, but I think Subban would garner valuable experience from the Worlds if he's invited. He's in good enough physical shape that I don't think two extra weeks of hockey would do him much harm.

Plus, just the potential of seeing P.K. on international ice is tempting to say the least.

They should both go. they're both young and can still use some experience. They have over 2 months to rest after this and if ever they do make a long cup run then they'll be playing hockey for much longer then this.

I agree but a case can be made that Carey needs some rest, mentally as much as physically. He played over 80 games this year counting pre-season and playoffs and he might want to take his head off hockey for a few weeks. He deserves to rest anyway, but I would't be mad if he went, gives me more reasons to follow and cheer for TC.

Yes he definitely deserves the rest but like I said if he ever plans on winning cups he'll have to go on for much longer then this and I think he could use the experience of winning in crucial games.

It would also help his chances of making the Canada lineup in 2014

Like I said, I agree. I was just making a case that there's good chances he does not go.

BTW, Plekanec will play for Czech Republic, confirmed on Twitter by Bill Beacon.

I would like Subban and Price to go just to shut HF up a little bit.

I wanna see all the Subban haters say they love him once he plays for a team they are cheering for.
