What exactly is Perrott waiting for?

Is he holding out for more money than his qualifying offer?

Do we need to take him to Arbitration??

There may be some talk about a multi-year deal. He has until Monday, so no hurry.

Quite honestly i wouldn't mind seeing him gone. He's not a very good fighter for a supposed heavyweight and offers little else other than character.

agreed. We have Domi and Belak to fight, and frankly Belak is more versatile then Perrot because he can play as the extra forward or the extra dman.

He wants a one way contract like Belak got, doubt he'll get it.

I also wont be heartbroken if he doesnt return, but he would be stupid not to accept. I likes Belaks quote which I think I saw on TSN when he was asked why he did a 2 year deal and forgoed a year of UFA, and he said that he doesnt think he will be going out there and scoring 30 goals, so it was good to lock up 2 years. He is more realistic about himself then a lot of the fans around here who think hes got some offensive potential. I believe Belak has really started to grow on a lot of Maple Leaf fans, works hard, stands up for his teammates, the consumate team player.

I am more concerned why Pilar (pronounced Pee-lash) hasn't signed. The guy is a very good defensman.

Good question. I don't know why Perrot wouldn't sign his deal. If he gets let go oh well. I think we could use a Gary Valk type more than having another fighter when we already have 2 signed.
