Is she an actual hockey fan or just a Ryan Kesler fan?

I will be pushing 50 soon. I always loved the Rangers but for a true hockey experience going to games at the Long Island Arena to see the Ducks play was awesome(think Slapshot).

In college I had worked at liquor stores over the summers and I never understood some women getting upset at me when I would ask them for their ID.

Just kidding ... Although it always mystifies me to think of a comparable scenario where a male could be a participant in a female dominated hobby/interest group and not be perceived as 'playing for the other team'.

The Steve Mastrosimone (childrens) category is in last place. All is not lost. Good to see a big come back by the oldtimers after the 16-20 group was leading for a while.

Few people in this thread said they were 15, how comes it's still showing as having 0 votes?

Am I the oldest fan here at 63?

Faint Ranger memories go back to 1958.
Remember when Rod Gilbert got called up from the minors to help the Rangers in 1962.
First game attended: probably 1962, lost to Toronto 3-1.
Fanaticism started: with Eddie Giacomin's first NHL game in 1965.
Was at last game at old MSG.
Was at first game in current MSG
Season ticket holder in the blue seats 1968-1976. Section 432, Row B, Seat 9
Met my wife at Ranger playoff game in 1970.
My life complete: 1994
Last at MSG: game 3 of this years playoff
Raised: two hardcore Ranger fans (one a regular poster on the boards)
Miss games on TV: rarely
Where I get my life hockey fix: Danbury Arena...Trashers, Mad Hatters, Whalers
Soft spot for: slick passing centers: Phil Goyette, Ulf Neilson, Michael Nylander, etc
Favorite all time Rangers: Gilbert, Hadfield, Anders Hedberg, Mess, Leetch, Graves, Giacomin, Richter
Favorite current Rangers: Cally and Dubi.
Sign Richards; yes
Hope Drury retires or is bought out; yes, but upset with venom sent his way.
Renney or Torts: Renney, but Torts did a great job this year, glad he was resigned
Sather; has to go
Technology in touch and up to date: hey I'm only 63

26-30 has a low amount because we somehow became fans during the mid 90s....what a fail 7 years those were.

Simply awesome, just awesome. Glad to have members like you among the family. It's an honor!

Edit: Must be a Hemsky fan, I assume? Although you did say centers. He's a slick passing winger. Datsyuk is one that fits the bill down the middle.

I was under the impression most of the posters here were in my age bracket.. Figured most fellows here were 25~30'ish...

Lots of young kids here..

Wish we had forums back the early 90's..

I'll be 16 soon enough. And I don't type like I'm that age either, so it's all good.
