it's quite surprising we have a lot of fans who grew up during the crap years and didn't get to experience the early 90's and the 94 cup win. I wonder how much Jagr and co post lockout had a part in that...
Same here. Grew up watching the beezer play. Moved away from NY but have never stopped following the Rangers.
Faint Ranger memories go back to 1958.
Remember when Rod Gilbert got called up from the minors to help the Rangers in 1962.
First game attended: probably 1962, lost to Toronto 3-1.
Fanaticism started: with Eddie Giacomin's first NHL game in 1965.
Was at last game at old MSG.
Was at first game in current MSG
Season ticket holder in the blue seats 1968-1976. Section 432, Row B, Seat 9
Met my wife at Ranger playoff game in 1970.
My life complete: 1994
Last at MSG: game 3 of this years playoff
Raised: two hardcore Ranger fans (one a regular poster on the boards)
Miss games on TV: rarely
Where I get my life hockey fix: Danbury Arena...Trashers, Mad Hatters, Whalers
Soft spot for: slick passing centers: Phil Goyette, Ulf Neilson, Michael Nylander, etc
Favorite all time Rangers: Gilbert, Hadfield, Anders Hedberg, Mess, Leetch, Graves, Giacomin, Richter
Favorite current Rangers: Cally and Dubi.
