300 people died during those storms and all we care about is two rich English people getting hitched?

Uhh, duh. Who cares that the ridiculous money spent on the wedding could've been used for an actual beneficial cause! It's a ****ing royal wedding!

Also I found out some other really cute chick I know is going to Stony Brook. Hellll yessss.

She didn't go to orientation, she's my late round draft pick that will rip it up in the majors without anyone knowing where she came from.

Wait, what?

I see your point, and I somewhat agree, but...

If we start thinking about it that way, where should we stop? Should we use money on anything at all that isn't directly benificial? Why use millions of dollars on the Rangers or the Yankees or my favourite football (soccer) team here in Norway? Why have fireworks each new years eve? Think of how many sacks of grain they could have sent or how many wells they could have drilled in Africa with that kind of money.

Of course, sport events has a cultural and entertaining value that's important. Thats my argument each time someone trashtalks football in comparison to other culture. No other cultural events gather that many people each week, and that can easily be translated to other sports.

I'm not here to be the royal weddings' white knight of the internet, but events like today has somewhat of the same value. There are many things in the UK that isn't exactly going swell, i.e. their economy is (like many others) still in deep **** (third worst in Europe behind Greece and Ireland). Something like this which they can gather around, be proud of etc. can be, in lack of a better word, be a real morale booster. In that context it could be benificial, even if it can't be measured in mouths fed.

****, this post went on and on. I'm sorry, I just had to get it off my chest

Yet, those royals sit there on their shiny thrones and primp in their hand mirrors and try to dictate morality according to them, about how you can dive, or how you should play, and how you shouldn't run a player into the center glass. And the rest of us, those poor filthy masses, are just supposed to take it. Well, a couple of hundred years ago a bunch of rowdy radicals charged out of some Boston bars, went down to the dock, and dumped the King's tea into the salty sea.

And in doing that, it struck a chord that rings true even today, that when confronted when imperious conceit, fighting the good fight is not only the right thing to do, it can be a heck of a lot of fun. And who has more fun than us?
pretty much sums up why I do not give a **** about the Royal Wedding, Montreal, and the King's tea that was dumped in to the salty sea

Jack Edwards wasn't comparing the 1st round to the BTP, he was just pissed about the Royal Wedding.

I GET IT NOW.

yeah he saw that and was like "When Chara got married, he did not get any publicity. These damn habs and their "royalty", this ****ing prince and his "royalty", I am going to spew verbal diarriha for 2 minutes to show them I am upset."

That had to have been his thought process, it all seems so clear now

I wanna meet Jack Edwards and get a picture with him. Maybe I'll try it when Boston comes in next year. Feel like a picture with him would be epic.

In other news, I'm bored. Not doing anything on this Friday night, maybe I'll go play Xbox.

I know. My PC can't handle all the source material which is in 720p. The program crashes during rendering. I had an Inception themed montage ready, but no go.

I need a new CPU, more RAM and a 64-bit Windows 7...

My body isn't ready.

I'll lend you my computer to do it if you can take care of the shipping and handling .
