Really? He was atrocious for most of the year. Had about 6 or 7 good games throughout the season. You must have only caught those 6 games
I actually believe that he could be really good next season though, I'd like him to stick around.
What is Timrå up to? Signed three depth centers in 20 days? Hirschovits will have to carry a heavy, heavy load next season.
They are making the team younger and cheaper
So far im happy with what Nubben and Linkan has done to Timrå for the next season. Riderwall and Lundström are better then Åkerlund and Pitkimäki. The deffence looks way better. But Robinsson is a big ?. I have no idea who that guy is...
Hirschovits did not play so good last season. He even said so himself in an interview with Dagbladet if i remember correctly. He will without doubt step his game this season. Pikkarainen too. Pärssinen is also a big ?. When he at his best he is one of the best wingers in SEL. He showed that last season but he got his 6 slipped disc.........
Every time Frölunda takes a player from Timrå they start to suck (fact!). And Klingberg played really good when he went to Timrå. Hopefully all the Frölundaplayers that come to Timrå will be awesome, then Timrå have a first golie and a solid keeper
Dick Axelsson is apparently also close to signing with Skellefteå, but somehow I doubt that.
We need a center (if Jimmie Ericsson doesn't take on the job) and a great defenceman.. (I might be underestimating the clubs financial resources now but it's better to be on the safe side )
So what's the deal with Victor Rask?
I heard he had signed with Färjestad but if that's the case why haven't they made the deal offical yet? KCrushers?
Just a few years ago it was almost impossible to get players to come to Skellefteå now they rather play here than HV or Färjestad even though the big clubs can pay higher salaries, it's hard to believe it's like this now. Lindström, Lehtonen, Möller and maybe Dick Axelsson. A few years ago they wouldn't even think about touching ground in this city. Am I dreaming?
William Wallen (Frölunda) signed a tryout contract with Jokerit. Can someone give some info about him? Thanks in advance.
Wallén was regarded as a huge talent a couple of years ago, his numbers was remarkable for his age, but I guess his lack of size and the long injury period has held him back. He was a star in all the junior teams he played for (including Swedens u-16,u-17 and u-18) and then went over to play in OHL. He then suffered from Intracranial hemorrhage and was seriously ill, but came back to hockey. Last season he didn't make Frölundas team so he played in SEL-2 on a loan, his time in Borås wasn't a sucess but he was lethal for Almtuna where he scored 10 goals in 12 games.
On the plus side Wallén have fantastic hands, he is great in PP, he got extreme techical skills and a nose for the net. On the minus side he is very small and isn't speedy enough to compensate that. To stick him on a grinder line wouldn't work to well, even though he is not afraid of physical contact since he is tiny. For Jokerit to get some use of him they need to give him a offensive role, since he got a very high offensive upside.
I think Wallén will be a dominant player in a good european league in a couple of years (since he got some elite skills), don't know if he is ready to be a bigtime point producer in SM-liga allready next year. It's just a try-out right?
