Yeah that was some awesome skating and moves by Kreider. Used his body to get to teh front of the net and had just enough time and space to stuff it past the goalie. got kinda lucky the goalie didn't hold the post well but it was still really nice and showed off his skills

Stepan looks fantastic out there with the extra room. Hopefully as he adjusts to the NHL his vision and passing can come through a little better than it did this year.

Reminds me of watching the WJC two years ago.

Wheeler reminds me of Mike Knuble. big guy soft hands not overly physical but not soft either. id rather have him over Wolski

Defensively too. He did a great job on the backcheck early in the 1st to eliminate an Austrian scoring opportunity.

Let's do it. They're flying out there. Stepan seemingly has a boost of confidence, he's speedy, physical and making good plays. If Wheeler and Stepan continue to have this kind of chemistry throughout the tournament, Sather should give Atlanta a call.

Kreider looks more engaged than the last time I saw him (at the WJC). He's holding onto the puck and making plays with it, which makes me REALLY happy, cuz I feel that's what he needs to do in order to get comfortable and make that next step

Watching Kreider's defensively play is watching night and day compared to last year. He's keeping his head on a swivel and pinching towards the slot area; he's much better positionally.

Coast to coast, deked around one guy in the neutral zone, using a change of speed to blow past him, then bulling to the net around another defender and stuffing it in short side. A bit lucky the goalie didn't hold his post well but it was all skill to create that chance

For as much as I've given him crap in the past, Palmieri looks good defensively.
