Hank needs a defining moment to his career and it has to be in the playoffs. Nominated for Vezina's are nice and all but kind of insignificant.

There is no question he has the ability to do it as he is one the really good goalies in the NHL right now.

The defining moment would be for the idiot upstairs to actually put a decent team in front of him.

The 07-08 club was a decent team. More than decent, I would assert.

That team had less wins than this year's team.

I think Henrik could break the single season win record or put together numbers like Thomas had this season on a truly great or stacked defensive team. I think he could put together MAYBE ~15 shutouts.

But as others have said, this record is unbreakable.

This year team was more than decent. They could not score, but defensively they were among NHL best teams. Definitely best defense Rangers played ever. By far better Richter had.
It is time to stop blaming the team in front of him. Lundqvist is good, but far from spectacular. Goal tending is not a problem with Rangers, but he is no Thomas, Broduer or any other Vezina winner. The fan desire to brag about beloved team is understood, just leave G alone, find something else.
