Kypreos just stated the Lindros deal was finished at Tie Domi's house and domi had been pushing hard for the Big E.

Tie is something else. For all we know, he promised JFJ that he would deliver Lindros if he was given a 2 year contract. The ultimate salesman.

Unless that was a Rhetorical question and Lindrosin 1994-95 was the answer you are looking for and just bringing it to everyone's attention ..

Actually, Bathgate (Hart 1959) played for the Leafs for a few seasons in the 1960's. Kennedy was the last player to win the Hart as a Leaf though

You Lucky ********, you got the Big E finally.

Lindros is a great player who got a bum rap from a punk like Bobby Clarke. I was hoping Sather would sign Lindros and Leclair, but he was too busy fishing. Lindros gave the Rangers his best effort and I hope he knows how much the fans here in New York appreciated him.

Good Luck, Eric. Hope you stay healthy!

This was really an exciting day for me...I was so relieved when I heard the news break at 4 on the FAN just before I was leaving work. I had been waiting for this day for a few years now and am very happy to see the Big E in blue and white. When he put on that jersey, it seemed so right...like he was where he belonged.

I am not going to put sky high expectations on Lindros. I just hope he stays healthy, plays without fear (a little caution, yes....but fear, no) and with intensity...and with full confidence that the rest of the boys will back him up and be there to support him.

Welcome home Eric...I know you will make us all proud.

Yea man, I loved Roenick. Even though he booted us out of the playoffs last season, he is great. It's a shame the Flyers couldn't show him any love.

But they got Foppa. This year is gonna be so fun.

believe it or not, Forsberg has missed more games over the last 5 seasons than Lindros. So I'm waiting for some sort of earth-shattering collision at centre ice, lol

Edmonton could use a goalie, but they've stepped it up big time.

Calgary is awesome. Amonte is a good pickup, and a cheap one. Langkow will make noise, as well as McCarty.

Vancouver looks pretty much the same, except on few points. But Naslund is one of my favs and the Canucks will have a good team for years to come.

Let's stop fighting, as Canadians, and be happy for each other!
Agree with you here! Now lets cross our finger that all 6 canadian teams will make the playoff and go far

All I have to say is JFJ is the man just look

Lindros + Allison + O'Neill = 4.55 Million, can not get any better then that.

I mean look at the other teams arround the NHL signing single players to more then these three combined and almost all to long term deals. JFJ went out and got some premium hockey players for dirt cheap and didn't lock any long term deals which gives us lots of wiggle room next year and looking at the lineup I would say our team is definatly a contender.

Lindros - as much as people dispise him, hes still a very good player

When he was on the Rags, he was their best player before he went down. he may not be the best power fwd in the nhl, or play the same physical game, but he is still a very good player, and a friendly guy. Look at all his interviews - total class act.

I made it no secret I thought this would be a bad move.

But I dunno, I'm on board, something about the PC just...got to me you know, when he put on the Leaf's Jersey.

I'm still worried about the Injuries he's sustained before, but I'll be damned if I won't give him a fair shot.

Welcome to Toronto Eric!

Lindros was pretty funny today during his press conference with his Head up while stick handling comment. I actually liked Roenick eventhough he knocked us out, but man remember that little dance he did after he scored that goal in OT of game 6 last season?

Great signing. And it puts an end to the never ending annual Eric rumours.

1.55 is a great price to pay. I didn't see us getting such calibre player for less than 1.5 anyways, it would've been almost ridiculous in a sense. To top it off it's a 1 year deal!

Hillarious how JFJ went from the ballard comparison to doing a great job!! my oh my how things change in a hurry around here. Quite ridiculous too in a sense.

Anways, #88, welcome home! You've been in the hunt to come home all these years and you've finally made it! Now go to work!

Oh and weeeeeeeeeeeeee!! If for nothing else even if he gets hurt in his 1st shift as a leaf, I will still be happy for him to fullfill his dream to dawn the leaf jersey.

Anyways, I'll share my favourite shot of him. Favourite becuase it's a tell all

After five years of an emotional roller coaster I can at last get on with my life and focus on lesser matters like paying the mortgage.

Great signing. Wouldn't it be something if he and Allison could both play 70+ games. What a group of studs.

Now, another winger....

I know that jumped right out when I saw the schedule. Two games right away then they are done coming to town for the year. Sucks.

My favourite post from yesterday:

Cue the genius: http://www.vivi.com/cgi-bin/query.fc...ko&session=296

Response: Well I was kind of thinking maybe the Leafs should just lose the first 20-25 games and then REALLY start trying hard to win as many games as possible.

It is so funny the blind obsessed hatred of the Leafs. This idiot tripped over himself to register and then posts, "Well they better try and win as many games as possible!"
