Hell yeah!!!! Glad he bought it in the firefight. Much cleaner than taking him alive and dealing with the circus of a trial and its aftermath.

sorry, I may be a downer but he was killed. They knew where he was and why don't they just got him and get him to court? Kill someone is never good.

But I'm happy he is dead

He said he was never gonna be caught and went down in fight.

Catching him was never realistic option

To prevent his grave from becoming a shrine

OK, in Germany they said that US Specials have killed him. That they found him and he died.

I really think that they could have got him if they really wanted him - they wanted to see him dead.

It's the same thing as with Hitler 66 years ago. Most of the heinous people of the world just won't get caught alive. It is what it is. Good riddance to Bin Laden.

they raided his compound and was killed, also if he was taken captive al qaeda would have tried to get him back and taking him alive on a ship is just asking for it to get attacked or they werent going to take him back to the U.S. alive and no other country would likely want him in their country..either way hes dead and its for the better

Hitler was a ****** that killed himself. Reports had him going down fighting but this POS killed himself before Russia and/or USA has had a chance.

Reports say that Bin Laden was killed by your guys

a little difference.

on a note: Happy that Osama is dead

Sources now saying the operation was designed from the start to kill Bin Laden, not take him alive. That's the right decision IMO. You put this guy on all trial and all you get is more publicity for his cause. Then after he's convicted you would have an even bigger mess on your hands. You couldn't give him the death penalty because the rest of the world would raise a stink, but where would you house him as a prisoner? Even a maximum security prison wouldn't cut it, and we know how other nations feel about special military detention camps. One in the dome was really the way to go here. Amazing work by the military and intelligence community.

I was having a conversation yesterday afternoon about how the economy can't even start to recover until people have confidence in this county. I stated that if we cannot even get Osama after 10 years, people aren't going to have faith and buy in to any government operation. Then get home, turn on the t.v. and.. Whoomp! There It Is! Hopefully this is step one to getting America back on top.

Cornelison to sing the anthem tonight at the Bulls game.

Stupid Hawks, it could have been better than the 91 ASG.
