Haha RangerBoy, the kid with the NYR hat and seniors sweatshirt was me lol. And the guy that told him he'll see him in a few months was ih8theislanders father that I know lol. Brad seemed like a chill guy though, always has that angry look on his face but he was pretty nice signing things and taking pictures.

Lay it on thick New Yorkers. Lol. The more warm fuzzy love he feels the better our chances are.

Very cool.

I hope he comes here. I feel like he has the mental toughness to play in New York.

For a guy like Brad Richards, that could add up to 5 mil over the course of his next contract. I don't know anyone who wouldn't care about that big of a difference.
You're correct. Thanks to GWB and current congress NY is much more attractive for Richards. Why do you think Heatley specifically requested a trade to US team? Because of better weather or something?

NY is more attractive than Montreal but not more attractive than Calgary or Edmonton...the top Federal Tax Bracket has a rate of 35% the top combined NYS/NYC rate adds another 12% for a total of 47%...there are more attractive places in the US from a tax perspective than NYC.

It seems Richards was asked about free agency at the very beginning. I got there towards the end. Stayed for 5 minutes and left. It should be up on NHL.com soon.

He signed something for you. I didn't bring anything with me for him to sign. I wanted to buy a Ranger hat and have him sign it but it want to make him uncomfortable

Yeah I saw you had posted this when I got home from school so I printed a picture really quick and ran out to catch the train so I could get there in time. Wasn't that many people there either since I guess no one really knew about it outside of people that had been coming into the store by coincidence.

Stay away from him you bi-polar pyschoes

We are going to get caught tampering

I find it really chill that he wants to spend a few days in the city, hopefully Hank can show him some of the perks of being a star here, not Gaborik though, he gets no perks

What does that even mean?

And I don't think Brad Richards needs a tour of NYC, he's been here about a billion times over his career and offseason

I just think its cool that he likes to spend some time in NY during his offseason. A lit of people just go back him.

I know he doesn't need a tour, but Hank needs to take him around and ahoe how welcome he truly is, no for real, Hank needs to show how bad HE'S TRULY NEEDED

He just got back from Tampa too though. Most players I know go on vacation, or tour the Cities they're thinking about signing with

Avery is good friends with Richards, I would love to hear the conversation when the subject turns to Torts

Brad Richards could be the reason why Avery has a job with this team next year

I said NY, not NYC. Westchester is nice and being close to Grinburgh is more important than proximity to MSG. Practices come more often than games anyway. Westchester have high property taxes, but those could be written off Federal, overall no comparison to NYC.

I like our chances of signing him. Support from fans already must catch his eye. I guess you can say I`ve been harassing him on twitter to join us this summer.

Exactly...it's not like Richards has any experience dealing with Tortorella in his professional career...wait, what?

Again, I'm not dismissing his relationship with Torts, just find it funny, and typical Ranger fashion, that his close friend is a total non Tort conformo

How sad I think of that scenario where no one is working with Richards next year when Gabby's on IR() and Avery as his consistent wingman going into the playoffs.

I know totally unthinkable scenario

Deb just asked him what Boomer asked him on the radio this morning.

"I can't remember" said Richards

Short term memory problems = concussion symptom
