If the Flyers HAVE to win a game, let it be game 3. If we go up 3 games to none and they win game 4, I'll be watching the rest of the series from a hospital bed or the nuthouse.

Anywho, we've had our shelling, our Thomas steal, I think Game 3 is going to be our physical grudge match. A real war with far more fights and hits and cheap shots (on both sides) than most playoff series. In other words, we're going to miss McQuaid.
If we can handle them through that one, I think game 4 is going to be a cakewalk. If they take game 3 we have a series on our hands again.
The best case scenario is that we do get that physical war, and it helps wake Looch up. Gets the old primal juices flowing and gets him in Quasimodo mode. He gets fired up and delivers a hat trick and never looks back.
Limited Pronger, no Gagne, no Carter, questionable tending... Not the same recipe as last year. As set, these rosters are an even match-up with the B's light years ahead in net. Who knows who will win at this point. All I know is I hope it's the B's in 4...!

They are definitely in a great position to do so....Boucher has been pretty terrible this post season and without Pronger at 100% and some other people missing the B's are def at a huge advantage

No, I want another 3-0 start. I take that bet every time. Leading 3-1 after 4 games and going out in 7 would be basically another choke-job. No matter whether it was 3-0 or 3-1.
But I don't wanna talk too much about winning the series. I really don't feel too comfortable after last year...and the first series against the Habs. Remember, they were leading 2-0 as well and won 2 road games to start the series. Let's not forget the fact that we haven't been exactly lights-out at home.

Let's also not forget the fact that we're a much different team than we were last year. Let's not forget we're relying on a likely 2nd time Vezina winner instead of a rookie/sophmore goalie to keep us in the game. This year is a different beast.

At the start of the playoffs Boston was a matchup I didn't want but after watching your series against Montreal, Boston doesn't strike much fear, and as bad as Boucher has been, Thomas has looked VERY beatable. The flyers beat Miller and should have no problem against a lesser goalie in Thomas
