Good for Florida. Kept Sather from making another move that wouldn't have done the Ranger's much good

Gratton is nothing special, but it wouldve been nice to have someone in the top 6 that actually has a pair...

now, not only are we going to lose on a regular

we are going to be pushed around in the process

Exciting time to be a Rangers fan, with the rebuilding and all.

Were the Devils pushed around in 2003 after they lost Holik?

Granted. A very different situation. But again, I don't agree with this general consensus that our team is going to get pushed around. The new game should emphasize speed, something our team has a lot of.

If a Murray or Hollweg makes the roster, I guarantee they won't put up with any crap.

This actually to me is an excitng time I am very much so looking foward to see'ing NYR bring up prospects and rebuild, and the pushing around part i dont think will be that major with the guys like Giroux, Murray, Gilles-Probably will see alot of time Im hoping, the kid is huge and will and could be one of the 2 or 3 toughest in the league cant wiat to see him pound people ( being a called up when needed against tougher teams ) will provide some sort of toughness having Sturdwick, Purrinton Hollweg, with i guess Hollweg and Purrinton being more call up's but will be there for toughness.

The only heavy weights are Purrinton and Gilles but the others named are atleast 6' and 205 and more and play with a tough attitude so that plays a huge part. NYR wont be getting pushed around as much as everyone thinks. I would have liked Neil from Ottawa but they recently re-signed him.

Murray being about 6'1" and about 208 plays with an edge and is tough as nails and takes no ****, same with hollweg, Gilles is just a beast at 6'4" 230 I think, so he will be in the lineup and doing alot of defending and also takes no **** also, Purrinton about 6'3" and 225 is no easy win, same with Sturdwick and is I guess abput 6'2" or so and like 210 and cant fight as well. Rullier with like 322 PIM and he is like 6'3" 230 or so, and he is still young at 22 or something.. This NYR team has plwnty of toughness and the great thing about it is all the oughness is still very young and got lots of energy.

Playing a team like Philly is going to be extremely exciting. With the toghness NYR has these kids being young will love those type of games.
