if Larsson is off the board I want Couturier, Landeskog or Murphy as my picks if we get one of them I will be happy but won't be dissapointed if we draft Huberdeau or Hamilton.

I guess this means we won't be drafting Frk next season.

Never know, we might eventually end up with the same sort of collective Stockholm Syndrome the Rangers board appears to have developed with McIlrath.

I can't see us being happy with Siemens unless we get a 1st in next years draft. Especially when we have the possibility of getting Larsson/Murphy/Huberdeau/Couturier/Landeskog.

Oh I agree, I was kidding. I'd be furious if we picked Siemens. I don't think Lou is crazy enough to go off the board, the biggest reach he'd make is Murphy at #4.

He sets up a vaguely plausible scenario for us to get the Larsson pick, then suddenly dipsy-doodles over to Couturier.

Odd call, made all the more bizarre with his suggesting we might even TRADE UP to nab Couturier.

(As opposed to taking best player available at our #4 pick AND BEING HAPPY ABOUT IT.)

That was written two weeks ago. In internet terms, it's ancient history.

To me, his list is made invalid from the lack of Murphy. I get the impression that he doesn't know as much about these prospects as his seemingly detailed analysis would imply.

pretty much. honestly, until all their respective playoffs are over, its all up in the air. the talents been so tossed around at this point. who knows, maybe the oilers dont take the nooge. just wish it was held tomorrow so we can wash our hands of this lunacy.

We would be prepping for the 2012 lunacy then. I already have but the board would. July 1st would be around the corner as well so be careful what you wish for.

I wonder if zachy poo will be resigned by the draft.

I think Parise will be re-signed before the draft.

Really? So you think they will knock it out in a week or so? Or they have already been talking and will wait for the PO's to end?

I'm sure they've been talking. I'm not sure if an agreement has been reached or when it will be, but I doubt Lou has been farting around for 3 weeks while Parise watches tennis.

I think it takes 2 or 3 weeks for the deal to be done and they haven't even started so who knows.

That said, our need for a game changing PMD isn't any less now than it was two weeks ago. With Adam Larsson still on the board in his scenario, it is a no-brainer. Potentially drafting Murphy does not even enter into the conversation. Nor Couturier, for that matter.

There's another month and a half until the draft. Plenty of time.

Oh, I agree. If Larsson is available at #4, I want Lou to trip over his own feet running up to the podium to take Larsson.

I really doubt Larsson drops to us but there cannot be a way we pass on him if he falls. Unless Lou finds out he has a horde of elves in his closet or whatever happens in sweden
