Not from the NHL, but anyway...

Canada squeezed out a victory against Switzerland in the IIHF World Championships today. What the game will be remembered for is this though:

Moser gets hit by Phaneuf, returns to the bench but falls unconscious and swallows his tongue. After receiving treatment he actually returned to the game in the third period.

The Finnish language is awesome btw, I just wish I could understand at least one word of what they say.

Say what you will about Carle's defense; Green makes him look like Lidstrom at times.

Jones on the ice against WSH's top line. That wasn't accidental, either...when given a chance to get off the ice, he remained on.

Either Boucher is a daring man, or this is his way of talking trash.

Tampa will win Game 4. Bruce Boudreau won't make it off the plane before being fired.

No. It was an uneventful shift. Just....Randy Freaking Jones paired up against OV's line...clearly on purpose.

Regardless of how we perform against them, I actually dig Tampa, and dig even more that Washington may lose to them.

Is it just me or is it because of JUST Thomas that the Bruins could win. Trust me, I want the Flyers to win as much as anyone else, but bar none, no other goalie in the playoffs are as good as him right now.

I don't know, Rolo is looking pretty good so far. But yeah, not like we could've used him or anything.

Thomas gave up a few stinkers against Montreal. He's a great goalie, but I'm not sold on him being the best in the league. Maybe this is the poor sport in me, but on many of the top scoring opportunities the Flyers had last nightm they wasted them. Briere trying to go 5-hole exactly like JvR on breakaways, the one-timer by ??? that hit Thomas square with little movement by him, lots of shots through traffic that he stopped just by making himself big ... well, bigger.

******* Nashville looks awesome. If they beat Vancouver in this series, be sure to see them probably really push on to a real cup push.

I don't know if i'd say Nashville is awesome, but they are holding on pretty well. Rinne is ridiculous.

I'm sure if Rinne and Thomas switch places, both records would be the same. Both are insane this round.
