He can still fire wristers high 'n wide, right? That's what he does.

Carter's status is a "game-time decision," per Holmgren.

Cool, sounds like Carter will be back for a skate around tonight!

I kind of don't want to see Carter play.

1. We've actually been playing well with current line combos
2. Risk of re-injury/worse injury

Well, if we start, as is being reported, a guy with a broken finger in his glove hand as our goaltender, and a guy who can't skate, then, for the first time, I will be forced to question Laviolette.

I guess he can still make up for the 4 minutes Shelly/Rinaldo would get on the 4th line.

Let's stay on the ground. How many times have teams overcome a 0:3 in a series? And how many times have they done it in consecutive years?
If and that's a big if, Bostons wins this game chances are slim to nothing and they can as well start the rookie to pick up some playoff experience.

By the way, what's wrong with Nödl?
He is listed as day-to-day for what seems almost 3 weeks now. Can a normal cut really be that bad? If he is not suffering from a concussion or something they should put him on the 4th line - at least he has 2 healthy legs compared to Carter.

The coming of age of Flyers’ van Riemsdyk

http://nhlhotstove.com/the-coming-of...-van-riemsdyk/

Quote:
James van Riemsdyk is coming of age.

While the second-overall pick in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft celebrates his 22nd birthday today, he’s been playing well beyond his years in these 2011 playoffs for the Philadelphia Flyers.

After nine games van Riemsdyk has scored seven goals, which ties him with teammate Danny Briere for the NHL-lead. With 59 shots on goal, van Riemsdyk leads all NHL skaters in that category. The second-highest total is 46, recorded by Daniel Sedin of the Vancouver Canucks, and that has been logged after 10 Vancouver contests.
As a matter of fact, van Riemsdyk’s shot total is the second most registered after nine postseason games in the league over the course of the last 30 years – behind only Alex Ovechkin’s 70, which was posted during the Spring of 2009.

To gain a point of reference as to the progress van Riemsdyk has made, he has posted eight shots on goal or more in five of the nine postseason contests.
He had never posted more than seven shots in a game in his two-year NHL career before the beginning of this year’s playoffs.

He wore a special visor at a recent practice, which could signal one or more issues. There wasn't any further indication as to the severity of the injury.

Most think he's dead, or maybe he took part in the killing of bin Laden. His injury/status is more of a mystery than bin Laden's death was!

Didn't he get a Goalie Stick to the face? It could be a broken orbital?

We have a bloody team that can win the gdamn CUP THIS YEAR and we're at risking of being swept by the Bruins?

Wow I am embarrassed. Even if we win the next 4 straight, Im still embarrassed. We are so much better than the Bruins, minus the goaltending.

*barf*

I'm not sure if it was a goalie stick but he left the Game 2 against Buffalo with blood flowing from under his eye. Since, the team hasn't given much of an update other than the generic day-to-day.

Pronger out Game 3 Carter Game Time

http://www.csnphilly.com/05/04/11/Pr...584&feedID=695

Quote:
A team source said that Carter remained a possibility. The fact that Jody Shelley stayed on the ice with the extras, means Shelley is out and someone is coming in and that someone figures to be Carter...Pronger is now listed as day-to-day with a lower body injury, as is goalie Michael Leighton.

id rather see pronger dress and just go on the ice during tv timeouts to steal the puck and get in the bruins heads.. than to cringe every time syvrets out there and boston is in our zone..

other than that.. if we get 54 shots again today, i think we'll be ok.

GO FLYERS!

You're worried about the 4 minutes Syvret is going to play?

I'm more worried about the 20+ minutes Timonen is going to get.
