That top six gets u's nowhere, Christensen was never a first line talent and never will be and prospal is no longer. Both their spots should be filled by either ufa signings (Richards/upshall/gagne) or kreider. But that top six does not cut it. And del zotto will make a comeback, at least in confident in that so vtank-del zotto 3rd pairing.

Kreider is not an upgrade over Prospal or Christ. Not next season.

I would DEFINITELY take Kreider over Christensen every day next season.

Management won't allow the team to go into the season with Christensen as Gaborik's center again. He's a scrub. Sather would at least make a trade for a veteran center, even if he's not a true #1.

I doubt Kreider is here at all next season, let alone in Oct.

Prospal? Probably not, but Christensen? I don't think 27 points would be out of the question if Kreider spent 60+ games in the NHL next year.

Let me give it a go

Offense

Dubinsky - Richards - Gaborik

Kreider/Wolski - Anisimov - Callahan

Boyle - Stepan - Prust

Avery/Drury - Christensen - Fedotenko

Defense

Staal - Girardi

McD - Sauer

MDZ - V-Tank

Eminger

Goalie

Lundqvist

Biron

I say that if we can not sign Kreider, we keep Wolski and try him on the second line and hope he can stay consistent. He really is a talented player, but an enigma non the less.

This is how i see us opening the year. Maybe. I'll admit, I don't know when Kreider or the others will be ready.

Prospal/Richards/Gaborik
Dubi/Artie/Cally
WW/Step/Zucc
Boyle/Prust/Feds

Staal/ Danny G
Gilroy/ McD
Sauer/Del Z
V-tank
(my idea here is to mix an offensive defenseman with a more defense oriented. Gilroy and Del Z would scare the **** out of me, but replace one of the with McD? i feel better. but who knows)

Hank
Biron

He's not the ideal, but he averaged nearly a point per game for what he played this season, and has always had a chemistry with Gabby. He's not one of the top 3 on the team, but i think he fits in with that line better than anyone else we've got

Not an upgrade over ghostensen? I think your alone on that one. and if prospals knee is still messed up and his body starts showing wear and tear as it has I'll take kreider.

I disagree. Prospal played really well for us when he came back. He showed no signs of slowing down and he already has that built-in chemistry with people on the team.

Kreider will probably be better than Prospal in the long run but I would argue that he is not as ready to play in the NHL this year as Prospal.

You don't really know what to expect with a kid like Kreider. It could turn out great (like a Stepan) or he could be very inconsitent. Prospal won't have as much of those inconsistencies and you know what you'll get with him.

I don't care which one is on the team really next year but as long as EC and Drury are gone I am happy.

23 points in 29 games says otherwise.

Sens fan in peace.

On our board I proposed trading for Wolski as I felt it would be a good risk to take considering the rebuild we are going through, who knows he may turn it around. What would you guys consider fair value? I've read that he is a chance to get bought out so i didn't think it would take much a 3rd or a 4th? Or am I way off?

and sorry if this isn;t the right place for this, i wasn;t sure where and it seemed mildly appropriate

I would trade Wolski for a 3rd from the Sens.

I think pretty much anyone would at this point. He has a 3.8m cap hit - you've been warned.

I think it depends on the Richards situation. If we get him then Wolski is most likely gone so a 3rd or 4th is awesome because there was rumors we'd buy him out.

Thanks guys, thats pretty much what I thought. We aren't going to be anywhere near the cap next season anyways and maybe he could get back to 20 goals if we played him with Spezza for a bit. worst case scenario he sucks ass and we let him go at the end of next year. Considering we have 6 picks in the top 65 this year barring any trades I don't think it would be a big risk to take a flyer on him with a 3rd or 4th.

Good luck next year.

I'd like to see what happens with Wolski in training camp. Torts obviously doesn't have much bias for the guy, but he certainly plays a dynamic game. I agree that he doesn't fit right in with the rangers game, but i'm not dying to see him gone.

I think Stepan's our 2C.

I think Boyle at 3C is fine, as long as his play doesn't regress.

4th line Center can be filled in-house. Hell, we can even use Avery there, make it more of a hybrid-line where young-ins can get some games under their belts.

From Schoeny's comments, I think a guy like AA is moved. He fits the description of a young 2nd/3rd line center who might be packaged with a pick for elite talent. He's not your typical Torts kind of player with Jam either, imo. As much as I love him, you have to respect the value you have with: Richards, Stepan, Boyle, 4C. If you can get the ideal 1st line LW, you'll all forget about AA after a few nights.

Torts will ride our top-6 hard. _____-Richards-Gaborik Dubi-Stepan-Cally... I think our 3rd line is set in stone with Feds-Boyle-Prust.. That line get a few more minutes over our 4th, which could be composed of guys like MZA, Hagelin, Grachev, Avery, maybe EC.

What LW do you think Anisimov, MDZ, and our 1st could get us?

I'm not a rangers fan but I like to see a line of

Wolski-Christiansen-MZA

A cool nickname for the line would be 'the shootout lineup'

I think Burns is on the table from Minnesota. Just a hunch from what Schoeny said.

I also wouldnt be surprised if they were targeting Booth in Florida. He had a very slow start but came on towards the end of the season after coming off an injury. Power-forward type.
