Bakes_Jamie13: Both coaches answered the same Q's. McLellan said it best, it's 18 skaters vs the other 18. Drop the puck already, let's get game 3 going!
Bakes_Jamie13: Det Media on Thornton - "his recalibration as a defensive fwd was hyped throughout season but has b/c real against best in playoffs"
Bakes_Jamie13: @sf_paulina Sharks are 8-4 all time when they win the 1st game of a series and 4-9 when they lose it. I plan on wearing it 3 more times!
Bakes_Jamie13: @SunGarrioch @Real_ESPNLeBrun hey guys, thanks for joining us on Sharks radio

You’re not really thinking, you’re just saying don’t score, don’t score, don’t score, don’t score. Seto's OT thoughts from the sin bin.

Devin Setoguchi joins Patrick Marleau (3 times) and Ulf Dahlen as the only Sharks to post playoff hat tricks. Nice work Seto.

Setoguchi told Couture he was going to pull the Ronaldo for his celebration BEFORE the OT. Which begs the question -- who is Ronaldo?
"I told Logan that I wanted to do the old double-knee slide," said Setoguchi. "You know, the same way that Ronaldo, the soccer player, does it. But then Logan said he wanted to do that same one."
gotta love the chemistry that's developed in this team finally. It feels like there's more of it at this time of year than there was at this time of year last yar.
Yeah, I always get bummed out after I read his articles. He's always so down on the Sharks.
Not even that. He's completely wrong most of the time. It's obvious from his writing that he either doesn't watch the games or he doesn't know anything about hockey (most likely both).

Is there a way to leave feedback for the guy? Like a ton of those pix you guys made of him with food stains on his shirts? After enough horrible feedback, ryan garner got taken off the sharksbuzz blog- I'm sure there's a better (thinner/optimistic) blogger to take care of the sharks on CSN
Ratto is on twitter. He is in Detroit and watching the games.
Mod note -- no need to be so negative. Shall we concentrate on the win and the challenge of game 4?
Honestly Ratto needs to be called out, he writes garbage and both he and CSN need to know that their "readers" think hes garbage. He brings nothing to the table.
just want to give a shout out here from a Leafs fan. I'm glad you guys won tonight and I hope you all can enjoy a Cup win. If you meet the Canucks in the west final, kick their ass!. Also, just wanted to say that in my opinion San Jose represents Cali hockey. Sure LA is the big market, and Anaheim has won a cup, but San Jose is it. You have a great fan base which sells well, you guys have shown the team great support. Congrats on the win and good luck the rest of the way.
White is definitely eating up a lot of Boyle's minutes. He only played 25 in 70 minutes of game time...well under his usual. Being able to play Demers and Vlasic for 22+ minutes can't hurt either.
Demers is becoming very Ehrhoff like. Great player who makes the occassional boneheaded play!
Boyle didn't look very good on the PK today, would it be possible for the sharks to play without him on the PK? Would make him use up less ice time. Not sure how viable that would be.
I am glad the coaching staff is trusting white more. he's getting more and more minutes and reducing boyle's workload. I think some of it also has to do with wallin playing better. now that wallin can be trusted to play more than 14-15 minutes a game, the even strength time for both wallin and white increases.
Also, I really don't like people jumping on the sharks' bandwagon. The majority were picking the wings to win and it served the sharks well. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad for vancouver to make it because they would be the favorites and the sharks have shown they're better as the underdog. There's starting to be whispers of the "this is the sharks' year" again and we know how that usually ends.

exactly. the team, and some fans got overconfident last year, and we got swept. we're not even half way there.
I don't think we got overconfident at all... It just turned out that last years Blackhawks was possibly the best team of the last decade to step on the ice. Really don't see how we could have beat them
Very, very lucky. I've just caught the whole game on replay and I thought Detroit were much the better team and Niemi stole us one.
Joe T was extremely good - I do hope the outside hockey world is watching him dispell all the playoff crap spouted at him. What on earth is wrong with Patty though? He looks a total shadow of himself and we need to get him firing or we won't go much further...
Well done on the hattrick to Seto but man, that OT penalty was unforgivably bad. He needs to check his lottery numbers because his name was up in the stars last night...
Well done though Nemo - you stole us a game we didn't play with enough intensity or passion to deserve to win.
