They haven't announced the cap max and mins yet, but there was a report in April that it could rise to around $62.2 M. It's risen every year, so it likely will again.
Remember the first year where Bettman insisted they needed a hard cap of $37.5 M that forced Colorado to start ripping their team apart?

If Brewer is too expensive for the Avs office then sign Hal Gill. He was teaching Subban very good this year and brings veteran leadership. If Mueller is done, then we have good depth that could step right in.

Overall it's a decent upgrade from last season. However, we are still thin upfront in terms of goalscoring if Mueller is a no show or injured.

Q: Is the cap hit for Larsson 500k? If so it must be ajusted to the max rookie salary plus bonuses which should bring is cap hit over 3M.

Trading Liles for picks or prospects would force them to spend another 4 mil, bringing both Brewer and Pitkanen is a stretch, but it would fit nicely. Jokinen is really good, and i think that signing of at least 1 LW is a must do, because i don't see Mueller coming back (I hope i'm wrong, but it seems he's done). If they make all these moves, Avs cap hit would be around 55mil, that's highly unlikely but we can always hope.

All the performance bonuses count against the cap until it's literally impossible to achieve them, which in a lot of cases doesn't happen until after the last game.

You have three too many players on that roster though. The max is 23.
Also for those referencing Cap Geek's numbers, their cap total is slightly more than what we have here because they have Cameron Gaunce listed with the NHL regulars. I would consider him with the other prospects since he'll be battling it out for a spot just like the rest of them.
Besides McLeod we lack hitting and size. Torres brings both of those, too easy to shutdown our offensive game.
Rupp, Talbot, or Dupuis are other players that would benefit our team. All of them can forecheck, play PK, and throw around their body. Pittsburgh can't keep all 3 due to cap trouble so we could one of these players.
