Not surprising, but good news all the same. Highly underrated player. Should be a very nice addition to Hartford next fall.

Definitely the Whale. I doubt he is physically ready for the NHL from what I've seen.

Excellent. Consider how deep our prospect pool is, he sort of gets overlooked but I'm excited to see what he brings. With previous prospect classes, he'd definitely be in our top 5.

Thomas is no rush. We only have to give him a bona fide offer to retain his rights for another year, which I'd imagine we've done already. Werek has to been signed by June 1st or he goes back into the draft.

Nice!

Expected. The organization has had high praise for Horak since last summer.

Expecting Werek next.

It would be great if Thomas goes Pro, as well.

Rangers now have 31 SPCs for next season. Ethan Werek and Scott Stajcer should get ELCs. Gotta figure the Rangers sign Blake Parlett to an ELC. Then there's Chris Kreider. The Rangers could sign Christian Thomas and have the contract slide next season. Won't count against the 50 SPC limit if he is assigned to Oshawa. Dylan McIlrath's contract will slide if he is returning to Moose Jaw but that contract counts right now for next season. That's probably why the Rangers won't sign Thomas right now.

Two good seasons in the WHL-Horak earned it.

Parlett--doing it the Girardi way--who also played his pro season with the minor league contract.

Good, was concerned he wasn't going to sign. I was kind of disappointed at his WJC play.

Nice. I expect good things from him in Hartford. Looking forward to seeing how good he'll be at creating. I expect playing in the WHL has prepared him well for the AHL.
