Let's discuss offseason moves, possible signings, and golf club selection.

There are 18 NHL players under contract next year, totalling $58,969,155. If the cap goes up 3 million, they will have $3,430,845 to work with. There are $1,700,000 in bonuses but I don't know what that means.
PM me if I have any of this wrong and I'll correct it, or if there's more info you think should be here.

Timmonen is someone i would be intrested in moving. His play the past couple of years has dwindled tremendously. If he retires will his salary count against the cap?

Yea cant wait to see Matt ****ing Carle get more time. Thats a swell idea there
Well if that is the case, i would not mind seeing him retire. Maybe free up some more cap space and make a move for Weber....an heir to Prongers throne.

Nashville isnt going to trade their captain for anything we have to offer. He will be re-signed
My Vague Offseason Plan:
1. Trade Versteeg, Hartnell(NTC), Carle, and Timonen(NMC). Honestly, if I could trade all of them(for solid value, of course), I would. Acquire space and picks/prospects.
2. Sign that #1 goalie. A real one. No Paul, Boucher is not a #1.
3. Prep Wellwood, Gustafsson, and Read to step into NHL roles.
4. If possible, trade Betts for a pick and get Konopka.
5. Fill remaining spots with hardworking players.
Not final lines, just filling in the lineup:
JVR-Richards-Wellwood
Giroux-Carter-Briere
Read-x-x
Powe-Betts-x
I guess them going 11-21 or whatever since February is them just being unlucky and playing very good teams right?
I guess after being the first team in the NHL to 30 wins and having an early shot at the President's Trophy they just arbitrarily decided to stop trying.
That makes a lot of sense. Really.

The logical conclusion is that they simply weren't trying hard enough.

When Pronger gets hurt again, I look forward to see Mezsaros and Coburn carry the team on defense.....
