Well, Timonen showed he couldn't do it. Go ahead, deny it. He played poorly in the playoffs, and the fact that he's constantly saying that he's not sure how much gas he has left in the tank and he's counting down the years has me worried.

What's the consensus on Ben Holmstrom? Could he contribute on a checking line, or still needs some seasoning in the minors?

To be honest, the only action I have ever seen from this kid is those two games towards the end of the season, but was impressed with his work ethic and had some decent defensive play for a young kid. Was disappointed Laviolette chose to dress Rinaldo, over him. Would appreciate some thoughts from some people who have had more chances to see him play...

So what do you do?

Do you truly trust a Pronger who hurt what 3 different body parts, Mezsaros and Coburn? Even with a Vokoun those three cant do everything.

If Timonen does indeed retire...anyone available in FA worth signing? That would free up a lot of money.

It's not like the x's don't go unfilled. I don't have a list of upcoming UFAs, but I'm sure we can sign some effective lower tier dmen or pick one or two up in the trades.

For the first half ! Give him a little more time, Is still think he and Richie may click. Put a Glencross type with them and maybe they work. If a first is there for him, I would move him

They need to either rip apart the nucleus or get a new coach.

Aside from upgrading the goaltending I think it's apparent we need to add some toughness. We got smacked around physically this series, it was embarrassing.

My main worry is that Homer decides Leighton/Bob combo will work and then go blow his wad on another overrated/overpaid forward like Versteeg.

Ideally we go after Bryzgalov. But Homer likes making trades so he'll probably sacrifice a pick for Nabokov. Either that or enquire about Huet or raid the KHL. Here's hoping he doesn't sacrifice 2012's 1st rounder with an offer sheet for Varlamov.

I say pair Pronger and Timonen together next year to take the pressure off of them individually. Sort of like Nashville does with Suter and Weber.

anything short of wholesale changes would be a joke. start at the top Holgrem, has to go,Lavy has to go the players stopped playing for him back in January,Mike Richards is one of the most overrated players in the NHL period,he ain't no Keith Primeau,Carter what needs to be said .is there any softer player in the league.

I say bring in a new GM,let him hire a coach ,move some of the dead wood Richards,Carter,Hartnell,Carle, hopefully 44 retires, build around Giroux,JVR,Bob,Coburn

I seriously doubt Leighton will be on the roster next season; he'll probably just fade into oblivion.

I doubt he's going to publicly rip Boucher or Bob...especially when the rest of the team was equally as pathetic.

Starting to run out of coaches to choose from.

Wonder if Lappy is going to become a coach.
