Yup you are right. Forgot about that rule. That means ALL of Nashville's CHL players will be Milwaukee age.

Dekanich didn't make the roadtrip to Texas. That means he can't play until at least Monday the 25th. I have heard that it is his ankle, but no details. Smith played the first two games in goal and is playing tonight. So far 2-0 Ads early in period 3.

With a 3-2 Game 4 win in Texas, Milwaukee ties the series at 2 games apiece. Beck scored the second goal. Van Guilder scored the GW. Bourque scored the first goal of the game. This is the first game of the series where the team that scored first won.

Windsor has tied up its series 1 to 1 with the Owen Sound Attack, 4 to 2.

Ryan Ellis: 6g 11a 17pts in 15 games.

(I'm just wondering if the Preds can get Adrian Robertson of Windsor to sign as a UDFA?

Robertson: 3g 11a 14pts in 15 games.)

Portland is down vs. Spokane 0 to 1 in the series.

Taylor Aronson: 0g 1a in 11games

There have been rumors that Mark Dekanich is nearly fit again. He may be ready to play goal in Round 2.

Windsor is now down 2-1 in the OHl playoffs:

Ryan Ellis: 6g 12a 18pts in 16 games
His partner in defensive offensiveness, Adrian Robertson: 3g 12a 15pts in 16 games

Portland plays tonight down 0-1 in their series.

Predators prospect Ryan Ellis wins the Max Kaminsky trophy as the top defenseman in the OHL!!! It is the second such award for Ellis, who also won in 2008-09.

The only other two-time winners of the Max Kaminsky trophy are HHOF'er Denis Potvin and Bryan Berard.

Windsor is up against elimination, and I selfishly hope that they get knocked out so that he can get some time in Milwaukee, in the next round.

And a good time as any to update the CHL playoffs. Well, it might just happen that Ryan Ellis actually MISSES a Memorial Cup. Windsor is down 3-1 to Owen Sound.

Ryan Ellis: 6g 12a 18pts in 17 games. Defensive partner, UDFA to be, Adrian Robertson: 3g 12a 15pts in 17 games.

I will state the obvious and say that he sounds like a guy that Milwaukee could use.

SLake, I am always amazed how people like you and Neck are always a step ahead of me in the hockey news department. You should work for CNN or the CIA!

Milwaukee has excellent depth on D. Three of their defensemen wear letters on their jersies. Who would sit in favor of Ellis? I would really like to see how his game translates and hope he can get some games in if/when Windsor is eliminated.

Windsor plays tonight. If the Spitfires lose;

1) Owen Sound and Mississauga both are in the Memorial Cup.

2) Ellis will be in Milwaukee for Game 1 of the Ads playoff series.

It looks like Ellis will be on his way to Milwaukee. It's 8-5 Owen Sound with 5 minutes left in the third period as I type this.

Will he play, and when does Milwaukee play next?

Friday night 7 PM CT and Sunday at 5 PM. My guess is yes, Ellis does play. Laakso was called up to Nashville. Pickard was also called up, but I assume that is to play goal in practice and/or to simulate the other team's #1 goalie.

Laakso was called up to Nashville. Nobody has to sit as a D-man.

Now that Ryan Ellis is with Milwaukee we can talk about the only remaining prospect in the CHl, Taylor Aronson. His Portland Winterhawks are up 3-2 in the WHL semi against Spokane.

Aronson: 0G 2A in 15 games.

Craig Smith has 2 goals in two games in the World Championships. Pretty good for a college kid that wasn't expected to even make the team.

Dekanich didn't go on the roadtrip to Houston. Neither did Klasen.

CHL update:

WHL
Portland Winterhawks advance to WHL finals to face Kooteney Tce for a spot in the Memorial Cup

Tayler Aronson: 0G 2A in 16 playoff games

OHL
St. Mike's Majors are up 1-0 on the Owen Sound Attack. Both are in the Memorial Cup anyway so this might be quick.

Q
St. John's is facing Gatineau Olyimpiques.

Jeremy Smith had 50 saves on Friday. Milwaukee lost 3-2 in OT for the second consecutive time in Houston.

Alex Radulov - 4 GP, 2 G, 1 A, 3 PTS

Hey guys, what can you tell an outsider about Michael Latta? I'm looking for what kind of production you guys think he'll provide at the NHL level.

I'd compare him very favorably to Dave Bolland from Chicago.
